Dallas's team finances were put entirely behind the run game, yet the run game looks horrible. Doesn't make any sense.

How do you write this sort of thing with a straight face? The receivers dropped 6 passes yesterday.. CD Lamb dropped 3 all by his lonesome.. They put up a graphic during the game that said the Cowboys receivers had dropped 18 balls in the previous 4 games.. which means with 6 more yesterday they have 24 over the last 5 games.. The offensive line has been horrible for weeks and the running game has been C-minus or worse for two months.. I am not defending Dak's play in the least because I think he has it within himself to compensate for poor line play, augment his running game and convert first downs.. All he has to do is run when the opportunity presents. He has also taken on this "greedy" attitude far more than I would like.. That has led to his taking deep heaves when a guy is standing 15 feet away from him for an easy first down which has ended in us punting way more than we should be. Or worse it has caused him to hold the ball too long and give up sacks.. He needs to get back to the old Dak who takes the first down instead of taking unnecessary risks with the ball.. But I honestly don't think we're going to see that guy until the playoffs. And I wonder if that isn't by design.. I think the coaches and the Joneses have been in his ear about running and he aint doin it except in dire emergency until playoff time.
pay a player 40 mil, they protect their investment, running game is productive, WR yes a few drops so what, they make up for just as much on poor passes. He runs he's just selective now, it's your bias blinders that are deceiving you, I have no idea how you can post this stuff, like I said, the running game and great D are what has bailed out his average play. If he gets hurt I know you will be calling the staff for allowing him to run. It's kind of comical how the excuse brigade has one for every situation and can come with a new one daily. Did you ever think the staff knows better about Daks weakness that you do and try and play to his strengths. Have you watched him run lately, he looks like a rupture duck out there. With the opportunities the D have provide the O and Dak both have been average at best.

People here have been claiming that "great QBs find a way" and that sort of thing when piling on Dak for not lighting teams up with his guys out.. Oh and how great did Kyler Murray look without D-Hop? It's amazing how ordinary a QB can look when the receiver group gets depleted. I know the ABD crowd doesn't wanna hear it but Dak and Moore have been working on getting this whole 2 deep shell coverage figured out. It would be a lot easier if they would run the damn ball more but Kellen Moore aint doin that unless Jerry himself is standing on the sidelines screaming at him to run the ball. But I digress.
Excuses will be made for him too, I'm sure of it

When members are using 1 poor game by the likes of Brady, Mahomes, Rodgers, etc. to try and say "Look, they played like Dak" is nothing more than desperation on the part of the emotionally Dak attached members who will simply fail to admit that Dak has played poorly for quite a stretch now and that it isn't just one game.

That said, here is Dak vs. Brady the last 7 weeks:

Dak 179 of 276 Comp % 64.9% 1,785 Yards 6.47 YPA 9 TD's 6 INT's

Brady 201 of 299 Comp % 67.2% 2,073 Yards 6.93 YPA 15 TD's 8 INT's

Seems Brady is playing better than Dak....but that's not fair seeing as how Brady is the GOAT so how is Dak compared to a rookie like Mac Jones:

Jones 122 of 182 Comp % 67% 1,389 Yards 7.63 YPA 9 TD's 4 INT's

Damn, even Jones is playing better than Dak but again, not a fair comparison so let's help Dak out by comparing him with a QB that everyone says sucks, Carson Wentz:

Wentz 130 of 213 Comp % 61% 1,310 Yards 6.15 YPA 12 TD's 5 INT's

Okay ******, there has got to be someone that is playing worse than Dak.......anyone have Rockport's stats?

Yes.

Dak and Brady are the exact same QB.
You’ve been tarred and feathered more over several weeks than anyone I can ever recall on this board.

You’re not even smart enough to know that you’re helping the OP’s argument by pointing out how great Tom Brady is.
:lmao2::lmao2::lmao2:

If the GOAT looks like total dog**** without his weapons, guess what? That means ANY QB will look considerably worse without his weapons.

And so all the GARBAGE you spewed about how Dak’s just a bus driver who needs everything around him to be PERFECT (unlike the ELITE QBs like Tom Brady) was just that... garbage.

You don’t know football.

I think the original poster brings up a good point though. Last night make daks game against the raiders look better to be honest.

while dak hasn’t been great lately I think he played well yesterday. Take away the drops and he has like 5 incompletions. His only mistake was the forced deep bal fumble in my opinion

New Orleans has Tampa Bay's number, for whatever reason.
That WAS a crap game by Brady.

Brady has played most of his career with a thin WR group.
He's enjoyed TB in that area for sure, but he normally does fine with whatever he has.

Now if the OP means every single QB lays an egg every once in a while, he is 100% correct.
It's just that this year, Brady has done so less than almost anyone.
38 total TDs, 14 total turnovers....+24

Dak almost gets shutout sometimes when he has all his weapons. Also one bad game is not the same as a series of bad games and it's not like the two deep shell is some new invention.

Actually it would have been three.. They "credited" the receivers with 6 drops.. Dak finished with 9 incomplete passes.. If they catch all of those he would have been 34 for 37.. And some of these geniuses would still be complaining.. But to your last point.. Any deep ball attempt was a mistake yesterday. Did you see what the wind did to those missed extra points? You do not want to be putting the ball up in the air deep in those conditions.. Anything more than 12-15 yards downfield was just a bad play call yesterday.

I can give Dak a pass on the games when he was without CD and Cooper. But he has been playing poorly with a full healthy unit as well.

Rarely do teams stay completely healthy on one side of the ball all season. Sure we've had some injuries and you expect some struggles because of those injuries. But Dak is not playing at a high level since his injury. He has played ok at times but overall his play has been below average since we beat new england.

You need better from your 40 million dollar man. As well as the defense has played, I don't think you can count on forcing 3 or 4 turnovers a game in the playoffs.

Every QB has bad games. There's no denying that. But Dak has been bad for awhile now. You can blame other players on offense if u want. But Dak is the man who is paid to be the difference maker above all else.

As a Cowboy fan and a moderate Dak supporter any comparison between Dak and Brady is just embarrassing.

Nope. Dak is paid to win ballgames above all else.. No matter how it looks if the end result is a W then he has done his job and earned his paycheck. I'm sorry if that bothers some people but that's the reality. I watched nearly every snap of Roger Staubach's and Troy Aikman's careers.. They had stretches like this where they leaned on other parts of the team. Only in this twisted internet age would people be calling for the head of a QB who just led the team to three road wins in a row and has all but sown up a playoff spot in the process. Tom Brady has two Super Bowl rings when passing for about 150 yards and 1 TD, ironically against the Rams both times.. Ben Ruthlessraper won a ring with a passer rating of 27.6. Yet he's probably going to end up in the Hall of Fame largely because of that win. And don't get me started on Eli ".500 career record" Manning. This BS of creating narratives about the greatness of these other QBs without any context is really annoying. It takes a team to win in the NFL.. Period.. end of story. You wanna believe otherwise that's on you.. I know better.
