Romo isnt throwing to Mohamed Massaqoui and Mike Furrey, playing behind a crapola line, while having 30 year old bad knees/ankles Jamal Lewis carrying the team and playing for one of the worst coaches in the league.

He is a bad situation and will rebound in Carolina next year.

At least he didnt underthrow his HOF WR into triple coverage with Ed Reed playing centerfield behind a seasoned OL and wonderboy playcaller.

Get serious noobs....

Uhhh...your signature seems to indicate that Romo should be doing just as bad, if not worse, than Brady now that Owens isn't around. Yet, some how, he's managed to not be nearly as bad as Quinn or as Bulger, as you've compared him too, despite not having TO and his 38 TDs.

BTW if TO is so great still then how come Trent Edwards and company aren't lighting it up all over the field? I mean clearly, by your signature, Edwards should be doing great with the guy bringing all those TDs over there and Romo should have a 3 TD to 17 INTs ratio right now.

The only noob here is you and your complete ignorance of position of QB has now grown old and tired.

Trent Edwards is such the QB of the future in Buffalo that he is going to get benched, even when he is "healthy". You dont bench your QB of the future midway through the season.

Have you seen any of the Buffalo games? Its almost uglier than Clevelands offense. TO can still get open. Even when doubled (watch seam corner route against Tennesse). Has nothing to do with TO? Not sure why you brought it up, other than the sig thats been there all year.

Just because I think Romo is a gimmick doesnt mean I don't support the team. Good football player but cant WILL a team to post season victories.

Good point.

He sure made that easy for you.

General managers would get fired if they chose Brady Quinn over Tony Romo right now. Dallas got to keep Tony Romo, got a draft pick that they used on Anthony Spencer and another draft pick from Cleveland. It is not even close that Dallas did the right thing. It isn't debatable. Only someone who gets off on trying to stir up the pot on a message board would even try to make it a discussion.

cause Brady Quinn and his sissy arm can't even throw a deep ball in bounds. 2 of the last 3 plays of that game were hail mary's by Quinn and they both sailed out of bounds! Brady Quinn is a bad qb plain and simple.

Aikman had more passing ability in his pinkie finger than Quinn has in his whole body. The only two things in common I see between them is they both play QB and they both QB'd awful teams. Quinn has nowhere near the arm strength or accuracy, and is nowhere near the athlete Aikman was.

As for your other comparison, Romo didnt throw a pick 6 in the redzone...never looked as hopeless as Quinn did last night and played in a game where the OL mailed it in for a game.

His pinky? I rest my case.................Yeah, your giving a fair and accurate assement.
You can't prove any of this. You hate a QB and will spin your imagination to justify the end means. Quinn has no OL much less one that "mailed" it in for a game. Let's include the coaching staff from the HC on down. Let's not forget these guys are playing to end the season. It's over and they know it. You and I have been around football long enough to realize this.

Not a pick 6 in the redzone but a pick none-the-less. My bad. Got ahead of myself.................

Better question is how is this a "very valid" comparison? Considering Quinn hasn't shown any flashes up to this point that would even hint at him being in the class of a Troy Aikman or a Romo,

:lmao: Yeah. That would define a second year QB on a ****-box of a team froom the coaching staff on down. Genius!!!

chuffly;3084064 said:
I don't see this valid comparison. Romo had shown more in his second or third game than Quinn has shown at any point in his career, and Aikman had shown by his third year he was clearly a capable quarterback.

Yeah? I guess you don't remember Romo's first real action filling in for the then pulled Bledsoe against the Giants. What'd he do? Yep Romo can't play.

Romo was sitting, watching and practicing for what, 3 years with the Dallas Cowboys? Next.

Yet Quinn has had only about a third of a season and you sidle that with Troy's 3? . GREAT comparison.

I'm appreciative of the free lessons and all.

No your not. Otherwise you'd of not butted in with a half-witted comment when you had no clue as to what I posted. Again, I'm not defending Quinn, he plays for the Browns. I'm calling out some ridiculous comments made on a guy with 4 quarters of football under his belt this season. Yeah, his career is over.

Quinn is in his third season with the Browns. You could say he got to sit for 2 1/2 years before starting last nights game. And that is not completely accurate because he has started games last year and has playing experience. I don't expect him to light it up every time he steps on the field because he is still a young, inexperience QB. He just did not look good last night. Actually, he looked bad. The Ravens defense will do that to you.

I have nothing against him. I don't hate him, nor do I love him. Romo has shown enough to say that Dallas did not make a mistake by passing on Quinn. Brady could improve and become a decent starter in the league. Unless Quinn becomes a perennial pro-bowler(which I don't think will happen), Dallas made the right choice by going with Romo and getting Spencer to boot.

Uh, Quinn is in his third year. By the way, I constantly hear on these here boards how this is a ****-box organization from owner on down to all the idiot coaches we have in place. I hear it on the internets so it's obviously true.

And Brady Quinn hasn't been watching and practicing all these years? What's he been doing all this time, grabbing crotches and drinking Post-Workout shakes? Why does this argument conveniently apply to Romo and not Mr. Quinn? Yeah, Romo had an extra year or two, but it's not like Quinn entered the league yesterday.

I thought with Romo, years on the sideline counted? Quinn's had some exeperience on the field and hasn't been totally thrown to the wolves like Aikman. Sounds like he's got the best of both worlds.

Half-witted comment? Maybe. Honestly, it was meant as a throwaway line, not to forever condemn your football knowledge or start Internets War I. Point is, Quinn hasn't had a ton of time, but in as much time as he has had, why hasn't he broken through? And if he was some strong prospect (or heck even just a decent/good one, whatever you want to say) in a crappy situation, why is he barely unable to pass up Derek Anderson on the depth chart?

Game was pretty ugly offensively but seriously that team is in need of alot more.

Line is porous and when a rookie is your #1.. you have some issues.

Good effort Brady.

You honestly believe that Quinn even belongs in a discussion with Troy Aikman when it comes to playing QB and overall talent? PUHLLLEEEASSSEEE.

As for hating th guy, I dont hate him. I really dont care about him at all. My opinion of him during and right after his JR yr was that if he stayed with Weis again for his SR yr he'd be an outstanding QB prospect. He came back and looked medicore all yr, was awful vs LSU in the bowl game and never displayed the type of accuracy or arm strength that an elite QB prospect should have. People couldnt believe he dropped on draft day, now we are clearly seeing why he did and he was ultimately overdrafted anyway. He looks like a middle round pick out there.

He may work out somewhere down the road, although I kinda doubt it. He has almost no ability to throw the ball downfield, appears stiff and doesnt read defenses all that well.

+10 for creativity....

Props for having a sense of humor about it. :)

You never know, he may be better with a change of scenery... I'd just hold off predicting any more 400 yard, 3td games until he's out of Cleveland.

It made me laugh.

I just pull for my guy on the big stage.

Wouldn't start him on my fantasy team though or but even have a roster spot.....
