What I am glad for about the Cowboys is...their SB wins were not controversial when any time cheating comes up.

Washington gets made fun of for winning a SB during a lockout...but at least they did it, without cheating.

the eagles? Who knows about them. lol

But, to get a cheater label not once but twice? I'm glad the Cowboys don't have to worry about that...they have a reputation to live up to.

And not only that! For some odd reason...Dallas and Washington did nothing wrong, they followed the rules, but, they were never accused of cheating...but they lost a lot of money because they followed the rules that Goodell and all that other stuff that was blamed on Washington and Dallas.

But, now the Patriots are going to have to deal with something that is real controversial. Cheating. Not once, but twice.

to a certain extent yea, but given his team history, he will never be considered the GOAT, which is likely what he wanted with this 4th SB

I disagree

I don't think this tarnishes his legacy that much ...not even close

Give him a 8 game suspension and then be forced to throw a beach ball when he returns. ....

It'll be interesting to see if the league does anything to change how gameballs are managed before and during games. I recall them saying initially that nothing would change but this has to bring about some kind of change.

the NFL should treat gameballs like the k-balls where all the footballs are inspected and maintained/kept by a ball-official on the sidelines. Teams can use special "sideline-ball" that maybe havea stripe on them or something so they don't end up in a game. Also, if a player wants to keep a ball after a score or whatever, the ball-official should have to mark it as "out of play" or something.

I don't think this is ridiculous considering how it looks when the SUper Bowl winning QB just got suspended for this

He'll be suspended from taking part in the coin toss. It's swift and severe, but a deserved punishment. The fans will be extremely disappointed that they are deprived of seeing their star QB for such an extended period of time, but the league simply cannot tolerate a player hurting the image of the shield. RIP Tom Brady, your extended absence will be sorely noticed.

The fact he dodge Jim Grey yesterday is a sign he still doesn't get it.

Shocking how this all comes out immediately after the draft, so if they do forfeit picks, they have a whole year to plan around it. Just more suspect behavior from the commissioner's office.
I've gotta shake my head when I read things like this. The fact that it came out after the draft is "suspect behavior" by the commisioner's office? The Falcon's got penalized for Noisegate back in March, and the draft pick they are losing is in the 2016 draft, not this years draft. Even if this report on Deflategate had come out a month ago it was never going to affect this year's draft.

if it was the Cowboys the report would have come out a month ago and the Cowboys would have lost all their picks in the 2015 draft and their 1st round pick in every draft from now on, don't you even Cowboyszone dude?

I think anybody who thinks that Brady is better than Montana is nuts. And I really don't think he is better than Peyton and I wouldn't take him over Unitas.

From what I've seen, unless a person is a Brady fan, it appears that it has tarnished his legacy. Mainly because he played an exact key role in this deflation of the footballs and paid for it. Unlike SpyGate where Belichick was directly involved.

So Tom terrific is going to be suspended. I'm sure their scheduled game against the Cowboys won't have any influence in how many games he gets.

Opening night for the Pats is a Thursday night game against Putzburgh. I'm betting he gets shredded in the pregame show. There really isn't any positive way of spinnning the fact you were suspended. What do you suppose the over/under is on how many times they show him standing on the sideline?

Cars now days have wireless sensors in them for air pressure, put one in the balls and have a reader on the official that handles the balls as they come in from the sideline.

But, team staffer supposedly knew, so that makes it a team wide offense as well as a player offense. They should be docked draft picks.

That said, there isn't a snowball's chance in hell Belicheat didn't know.

Oh he friggin knew. Belicheat was the first to tell the media to ask the QB. This was the conference before he became an expert on gases and atmospheric pressure. Not only did he know, he helped cover it up. Brady doesn't do this without Lil Bill's okay or at least his tolerance.

I wonder if Brady would threaten to retire if suspended, to spite the commissioner. Take his "deflated" ball and go home.

Probably not, but I could see him using it as bargaining. Also Tom Brady comes off as immature to me, the way he got his feelings hurt etc. and stuff he says. He's kind of a dork trapped in a QBs body.

Anything less than vacating the Super Bowl victory is a slap on the wrist.
Let me see if I understand you.... the rulebook recommends a fine of $25,000, but you think they should have to vacate the Super Bowl?

Uh, don't get your hopes up for that one.
