He's ticked off.........they may have a cancer on their hands now.
Just me but I'm guessing the Texans would gladly release him if he waives that guaranteed $18M.

Who cares anymore. They were never going to do anything in a trade anyway unless the other side wanted to get fleeced.

Not saying it's a bad approach, but this is a build through the draft team that picks up smaller contract vet depth at positions of need.

They will not do the over the top move for a FA like Von Miller or a young stud Vet on the trading block that has the new deal coming up like Philly did years ago, Tampa did years ago and the Rams did last year.

They will be an annual wild card team that hopes to keep their coaches like Quinn, which can't happen forever.

They'll clean up Zeke's contract and probably not sign Schultz, which is right. Only guy getting over paid is Dak and possibly DLaw at that point with the young core of this team coming up for contracts with an always growing salary cap.

They'll draft another corner, DE or OL with their first pick. Maybe get a RB in the 2nd down.

They're not going to release him with that amount of guaranteed money. that's just silly.

This, like they say about Russell Westbrook with the Lakers, The Owner is not sending him home with his $47M contract on the books, just to have him off the team.

I love these couldn’t be resolved in time things- if you were serious about it- you would have made the time-
They just hope people like werder will leak this stuff so the fans believe they really tried.
That’s like saying I didn’t make my deadline at work on time because I couldn’t resolve it before the due date.
You would be fired- as should both Jerry and Stephen.
They want to keep the fan base in total suspense for years under the we are trying- drafting- managing space excuse. Only problem is we never win anything ever-
Maybe Houston wanted a high pick and an extra pick to eat some of the guarantee. Trades are not a once sided thing. While its possible the initial offer sucked but it sounds like they were in the ball park but it is the Houston FO as well.
