I apologize for wanting him on the Dallas Cowboys last night. I never saw that video where he punted the ball after a drill and batted down balls like he was throwing a tantrum. I don't want him. I apologize.

-20 credibility points.

That is a load of BS, the you signed the contract is a load of crap perpetrated by owners to get fan support. The NFL is set up so if you dont perform you get cut from your contract, so if you do OUT perform you have the right to hold out or ask for a new contract. The guy is a top 5 WR in the league the last 2 years and is getting paid pennies.

I dont agree with how he handled the situation, but the Broncos should of made a decision to pay him or move on.

Yeah the team should pay Brandon a ton of money while he is out there constantly getting in trouble? He has already served one league suspension and was on trial for domestic abuse this off season. What team wants to invest a ton of money into a player they don't even know if they can keep on the field? All this ignorant piece of trash had to do was stay out of trouble for one season and I bet you the Broncos would've come through with a payday for him. But his sense of entitlement won't allow him to wake up and see that. I hope they nail him to the wall and the punk learns a lesson, but to learn you might actually need a brain...

On the bright side, my boy Eddie Royal just went up in value :laugh2:

For those of you "defending" Marshall because he is "underpaid" here is a list I found on another message board of his "accomplishments." After reading all of that, I would be thrilled to give him a ton of guaranteed money.

October, 2004: Misdemeanor charges of trespass, resisting arrest without violence, disorderly conduct, refusal to obey and assault on a police officer. (Later dismissed)

April, 2005: Retail theft of $20 bed sheets at Burlington Coat Factory. (Later dismissed)

June, 2006:Reports of domestic violence, no charges ever filed.

December, 2006:Was named as a possible cause that ultimately led to the death of cornerback Darrent Williams via drive-by shooting after spraying champagne on night club patrons.

January, 2007: Incident with his own father that reportedly included gun shots. No charges were filed.

March, 2007: Reports of domestic violence, no charges filed.

March, 2007: Arrested for false imprisonment and domestic violence, charges were later dismissed after attending anger management classes.

June, 2007: Reports of domestic violence, including an “accidental cut” on his girlfriends thigh and a rock thrown at the passenger side of her friends’ car. No charges were filed.

June, 2007: Police respond to “fight-in-progress” call and find girlfriend with noticeable bruises and scratches. No Charges filed.

October, 2007: Cited for driving under the influence, BAC of 0.116.

January, 2008: Girlfriend files for temporary restraining order, was later lifted.

March, 2008: Domestic violence call, ultimately resulting in Marshall fleeing the scene. Girlfriend would then file for another temporary restraining order.

August, 2008: Suspended for three games by the NFL. After appeal, the league reduced the suspension to one game without pay plus a fine.

September, 2008: Charged with two misdemeanor counts of simple battery as a result of the incident the previous March.

September, 2008: A year after being cited for DUI in Denver, Marshall pleaded guilty to the lesser offense of driving while ability-impaired. He was sentenced to one year of probation.

February, 2009: Became engaged to then girlfriend Michi Nogami-Campbell, a different female than the one named in the incidents above.

March, 2009: Marshall and Nogami-Campbell seen in a physical altercation. Situation is “under review” per the NFL.

The Broncos will have the top pick in next year's draft. They will be the worst team this year. And they will pick up another high draft pick trading Marshall. They are rebuilding.

First off after seeing that video that was just ridiculas. I've got a 7 year old who doesn't act like that when he doesn't get his way. That was pathetic.

That said I don't know what all his issues in Denver are. The money, the Coach, Cutler being traded away for basically nothing I'm sure has upset him but he still can't act like he did yesterday. That was just stupid.

But the idea that players don't get do-overs, or whatever it's being called, on their contracts and neither do owners is the just flat out wrong and I don't know where anyone got the idea that it was right.

Owners cut underachieving players all the time and they cut players, despite contracts, all the time when they feel like it.

You need look no further than our offeason to see that.

Roy Williams - Cut cause he wasn't living up to his contract.

Terrell Owens - You're going to tell me he was cut cause he didn't produce? Please. This is a prime example of cutting a player, despite his contract, simply cause the team wants to move on without them.

Greg Ellis - Again he was cut in spite of having a contract and it's not like the guy played like absolute crap the last 2 years to justify it either. The team was ready to move on and as such cut him.

So yeah it's pretty obvious, all the time in the NFL actually, that the owners can just cut and run anytime they like and are willing to do so.

But a player who asks for more money when they've well out performed their current deal is some how a greedy, evil, ******* for doing so? Please.

How many people here work their entire careers, at their jobs, for whatever money they were hired at?

Contract or not when you're hired they hire you at a certain amount per hour, or whatever your certain salary is. So if you start to out perform what was expected of you, when you took the job, are you a ******* too for asking for more money?

They actually traded next year's first to draft Alphonso Smith. They do have the Bears 1st though. And I would say with how this Marshall thing is playing out and his history the most they are going to get is a late 2nd or probably more realistically a 3rd/4th.

His actions are disgusting.

It would be fitting if that clown never played another down.

The NFL didn't sign it for him. He decided that contract was acceptable. Now he doesn't believe it is so he wants a do-over. **** him. Don't sign it next time.

If he is a bad apple and you dont wanna pay him for his production on the field then TRADE HIM. You cant have it both ways in my opinion.

He is working on his rookie contract, and being paid as a 4th round pick. Marion Barber out played his deal and Jerry did the right thing in the final year of his deal. Most good franchises do. If he sucked his second year, you really think the Broncos would of said well he is under contract, even though he is a bust we need to honor the deal WE signed with him and keep him around for the full 4 years. It goes both ways, and it has to when contracts are not guaranteed.

Don't sign the contract then. haha Crabtree didn't!

Jerry didn't sign Barber because he felt it the right thing to do. He signed him to lock him up long term. Now tell me Doomsday, would you want to lock Marshall up long term for big bucks right about now? I didn't think so. Nor do the Broncos.

btw, the Broncos have ZERO choice in the matter. They MUST honor the contract as it is written. THIS is what you can't seem to get your head around. They can't just say, I'm not paying you what the contract demands. They have no choice! A contract is BINDING! The ability to cut a player exist in the contract terms. Which is why guaranteed money exist in the contract in the first place!!!

NFLN says he is suspended through September 5th. I don't know if that's a real suspension since he will be back before Denvers 1st game on the 13th.

Then trade him! Why should Marshall work for pennies on the dollar because they are afraid to lock him up? You really going to tell me things are going to be different with him one year from now? The guy has OUTPLAYED his contract in a big way. That is the bottom line.

I love the nobility, thou shall honor thy contract! Every contract in the NFL is really a one year deal with options to continue on if the team decides to keep you and if you dont wanna hold out for more money. The general public just doesnt understand it is a 2 way street.

Why? They HAVE A CONTRACT! Why in hell should they trade him? Marshall signed the contract, the Broncos signed the contract. For better or worse, a deal is a deal. Each party wants what is best for themselves, but most of the time. One side will have the better deal when all is said and done. Right now the Broncos do.

So, Albert Haynesworth got a 1 year $40M contract? If the Commanders cut him after this year, then yes he did. Of course, that would officially break the Commanders back salary cap wise, so that will never happen. Albert has more than a 1 year contract.

...and guess what. The Commanders MUST pay him the $40M no matter what. Even if he sucks worse than Proctor.

The Raiders signed D. Hall to a crazy deal 2 years ago, only to cut him in the middle of the season. Where you lobbying the Raiders to keep him and honor their contract with D. Hall?

They DID honor the contract as it was written. THEY HAVE TOO! It's a freaking legally binding CONTRACT! :bang2: :bang2: :bang2: :bang2:

Damn, some people just don't freaking get it.
