Edit
Yeah Garrett is ok to mediocre in reg season. Post season kills us.

And I think just about anyone could get the type of results he gets in the regular season as well as the post season.

8 years is more then enough time for any coach. We know what he is and the conclusion is that he's just not the best guy to get us a championship and we need to move on from that and find the next guy.

Jerry Jones needs to have his ego and comfortability with the coach take a back seat and put Winning as our #1 priority.

Not sure how his record versus random teams means anything.
I can see the NFCE record but the numbers that most matter are playoff records, divisional and then if you wanted to really argue his record with Romo or Dak at QB.

He was 39-27 with Romo at QB and 22-10 thus far with Dak.
That's a ~64% winning percentage and up near Belichick.

But he's also 1-2 in the playoffs.

Well if you are going to selectively choose Garrett's games to count, then you might as well do the same for Belicheck. Meaning take out his Cleveland days. In that case, then Belicheck is at 74% winning percentage and Garrett ain't sniffing that.

Very mediocre and it doesn't cover what all Cowboy fans should care about the most and that's playoff success.
cowboys coaches have been medicore for 22 years.....so what/who is the problem?

we just turned over 80% of the team in less than 4 years...why?

At the end of the day Garrett had 2 gimme victories against Eagle 3rd stringers that should have been losses. So that brings it down to 66-57. 9 games over 500. And that basically amounts to 5 season or so of 8-8 ball and one amazing regular season. Then the playoff record is horrid.

Now with having a very good franchise QB the entire time, that record is horrid.

The team will always be turning over. It's salary cap.

If you can't coach a team because the roster is always changing then the NFL isn't for you.

Jerry Jones is definitely the root cause but I feel like Jerry could at the very least give us a coach that puts us and him in the the best position for the team to succeed on the field.

I thought it was posted after the year that of his 68 wins, only 12 have come against teams that finished the year with a winning record. don't know if that's true or not.

What was Wades winning percentage?

34-22 That is a 61% Winning percentage. And that was with being 1-7 his last year. Take away the two PHilly 3rd stringer wins for Garrett and he is at a 53% win percentage.

The same Garrett apologist are the same guys that hated Wade. The Irony of it all.

he's smart enough and willing to follow the company line to the tune of 5.5 million a year. but given the new mandate by Stephen in terms of scheme changes and asst. coaches now being able to have meaningful input into things, i'd say his leash is getting short. and Stephen, not jerry, is holding the other end.
