Drew Bledsoe will wake up tomorrow 10 years younger at the age of 24

THEN, we'll have our QB of the future!!

Bledstud still has a better arm than most 24 year old QB's...amazing it isn't it?

eh, not such a good short passer though...although I guess he fits in our "offense"(if you'd like to call it that), with our run twice and throw a hail mary bomb...

You mean run twice, take a sack, shank a punt and then have the head coach only glare at the punter. :laugh2:

Bledstud is used to making big plays down the field, that's why he struggles with the shorter throws once in a blue moon.

Parcells and the rest of the offensive coaching staff needs to wake up and start throwing more on first and second down. Enough of the ball control, predicable garbage. We have one of the best arms in NFL history on this team and it's time to start utilizing it more.

If Bledsoe gained some pocket awareness and mobility over the offseason he could have a good year for us. I think he has a vision and hearing problem though. Can't seem to feel the rush and avoid it.

Is there some kind of training for that ?

Bledstud is more mobile than you think, he is a threat to run the QB draw or naked bootleg from 10 yards out in the redzone simply because defensive coordinators don't respect statues. So don't be surprised to see new wrinkles added to his offensive repetoire soon.

And what is this nonsense about his pocket awareness? Drew has always been a savvy playmaker in the pocket, but when the defense constantly manhandles the offensive line in front of him there's not much he can do.

Also I can assure you that his vision and hearing are very keen. It's scary because Bledstud knows what defenders are thinking, that is what makes him such an assassin on the gridiron!

Games are only 60 minutes long though. I heard they used a calendar to time him in the 40 because the sundial was too fast.

One of my favorite bands when I lived in Kansas was called "That Statue Moved" rumor has it they got that name from watching Bledstud.

All the rookies have no where to go but up. I do think Burnett will be a bust as a Cowboy and will play his best football in another uniform, probably San Fran.

Everyone succumbs to age inevitably. We can't assume Bledsoe will last a full season, even with protection (hopefully) next year.

Keep ripping on Drew! I guarantee that nobody on this message board could outrun him. He may seem slow and flatfooted at times during an NFL game, but you do realize how fast the game moves in real time? I know I wouldn't want to be in the backfield with giant 300+ pound beast running after me every play!

Drew's strength is the PASSING game, he's not a fraud like Mike Vick who makes occasional big plays against scrub defenses by running the football. Also Drew is one of the best QB's to run the sneak play on the goaline or for a critical 3rd or 4th down conversion because he's a very large man and tough to bring down.

Also I don't really understand your comment about a calender used to time drew? Aren't they used to measure days and weeks?

I don't comare hiim to me because I don't play in the NFL, but I could probably still outrun him.

I don't compare him to Vick because I don't want him to play that style. I just want the guy to take less sacks. Sure the best way to do that is fix the o-line, but he also shares some of that responsibility. He is one of the slowest QBs I have ever seen. I am not talking about running the ball down field. I am referring to movement in the pocket and dropping back from center.

I'm 15, I'll take the race. That's beside the point, its not like Bledsoe needs to be a fast runner, he just needs to be able to shift out of the way, he can't even do that. Believe me, if I had a 300 pounder after me, I would run like the speed of light to not get the asthmatic life kicked out of me.

Bledsoe could atleast take some work on feet movement, instead of moving into people like a blind man.

Agree, Momma Bledsoe?:)

And how would you rate his legendary cannon arm then? That's what matters in the end...not his movement in the pocket or running abilities....but his uncanny ability to make precision strikes downfield and hit receivers in tight coverage!

Yes, yes they are.

Judas Priest it isn't rocket science.

Love the line about no one here could outrun him. Talk about delusions.

I'm 41, have had multiple knee surgeries and am 40 pounds over my playing weight and I'd take that race too.
