Has anyone heard any news on Brewster? What are the odds of him coming back after the PUP waiting period is over? I think it is week 6 where he can start practicing and they have 3 weeks to decide to IR him or activate him. I haven't seen any news on him and was wondering based on his progress if he would have a chance to be activated and possible contribute as a backup the last few weeks.

I heard he was up to 400 lbs and steadily engulfing refined sugar and processed cheese.

Nice. The Montre Holland diet.

Last I heard he was gone for the year.

He'll be a JAG anyways. Forgot he was even on the team.

Yes, because Brewster has a long and documented track record in the NFL.

I play the odds.

Drafted offensive lineman by the Cowboys are JAGS until proven legit.

We've drafted one legit O-lineman in the last 10 years. One.

Excuse me from being cautious.

the only thingI got to say about that is look at who was drafting the O linemen

Bill Parcells = 0

Hudson Houck - at least hes got them playing this year - I think we only draft better O line men with HH - I don't know for sure but I bet you Brewster was a HH pick

who he draft - Allan - Flo - Williams

No he isn't. He was put on the PUP list not IR.

Is PUP 6 weeks?

Would he actually have a chance at contributing this year?

Yes, 6 weeks. Then the team has 3 weeks to get him practicing with the team. Then 3 more weeks to activate him or he stays on for the full year and it is basically IR.

It suggests to me the team expects him back at some point in the next 9 weeks.

Past history says so.

Wow, what a relief. I was worried that future history might dictate his contribution.

How many success stories is Wade currently sporting on the Oline?

At least Parcells brought in Kosier (a move he was widely criticized for) and Columbo for peanuts, and got Gurode straightened out.

Solid points. Very solid points.

Leonard Davis?

We drafted Gurode to play center. He then had to play guard due to the obscene amount of injuries in '02. Parcells kept him there until '05. I like Parcells and all, but he really didn't straighten Gurode out, he just got him playing the position that we drafted for anyway and it took awhile and he still wanted to start Al Johnson over Gurode.

Hudson Houck's track record with O-Linemen is about as good as it gets. If he tells me he likes Doug Free, than I'm confident that Free is going to be a solid starter. If he tells me that he really likes Brewster (which he seemed to do so before he got hurt and putting him on the PUP list further indicates this), then I'm confident Brewster will be a good player for us.

Stuff happens and in Brewster's case, you don't know how he's going to handle injuries, but the reality of 'past history' is that Houck is arguably the greatest O-Line coach that ever lived and has had a fantastic history of drafting O-Linemen, particularly WITH DALLAS back in the 90's.

Sounds more like the Aaron Gibson or Mike Williams diet.

Same concept. Holland was too fat for Denver last year so they traded him to us.
