Brian Schottenheimer believes Cowboys can win 'quickly'

you don't even who that is richard pryor is great!

They know how to win, they just enjoy making money and being comfortable a lot more. I think the money is about to start drying up unless they actually get serious about Fielding a competitive team. People have had enough.
I dont agree

They really do not know what to do so they are scared of being made fools of and are paralyzed by this fear

The Joneses are a combination of incompetence and fear

Yes they can win quickly. Contend? no they won't and haven't thought they could in a very very very long time.

Look, I can’t bash this guy for taking the position. Any of us would. It’s the Dallas Cowboys for crying out loud. But the reality is this guy has a 28 year history of mediocre. Par for the course, he’s not gonna do anything dramatic with the Cowboys. He’s gonna play it safe, He’s not gonna light a fire under anyone, and the Cowboys are going to spend the next few years just going through the motions. Trying to reach 500. I am still in total shock with this move by Jerry. I mean, I know Jerry’s in decline , and he’s reaching into the twilight zone of his life, but I didn’t expect this.

...c'mon gents, gotta believe in Shotty. He's our new hope.

Even Bill Parcells couldn't win here, and he put together a pretty impressive roster. Schottenheimer thinks he can? It's not happening. He's going to get undercut by Jones at every turn. He knows what he got into, and I hope the money is worth it. That's the only thing he's going to be accomplishing here - increasing his bank account. That's all anybody does with this organization because that's what it's about with them.
He's another Dave Campo.

I disagree. I think 29 years shows us they don't know how to win. Jerry has tried it both ways, spending heavily in free agency and being cheap and free agency with the same degree of success. The sad part is they also think they know how to win even though the evidence says no.

Super Bowl?
Super Bowl?

Who's talking Super Bowl when we are third best in the NFC East?

Booger must be coaching this guy on the proper this g to say.

Need Receivers, running backs, defensive tackles and linebackers. Anything else?
Draft just happens to be deep at RB and DT, as well as OL. We need one receiver. We likely will resign Dowdle or a similar vet and draft a RB in first 3 rounds. So, WR, DT and RB in first three rounds. LB and OL can be had in free agency at reasonable price. We aren't going to fill every hole in one year, but we can be strategic at our weakest spots.

Well, third best in the NFC East just might be 4th best in the NFC and next year is a new year.

Jerry has spent plenty of money in free agency and players contracts over the years, but all they have to do is look at how the Chiefs and Eagles do it. It's not rocket science. I think they know what they need to do, they just don't do it. Their egos keep telling them "this is the year it works, this is the year it works."

I just don't think they put much of a priority on winning. That's evident in the head coaches they hire and the players they choose to not re-sign or pursue in free agency. We haven't let that much talent walk out the door this past off season since 1994. 1995 comes in at a close second. I thought they would have learned by now.
