He shouldn't have been a first round draft pick. Big time measurable, but too raw, and had a reputation of being a headcase. Maybe he turns it around, but he's not off to the start you'd want for your 1st pick starting LT. It was IDIOTIC to bring him in to start without having a viable alternative.

No play...no pay. If true and the supposed tantrums continue, seek a solution to say goodbye. For the majority of people, refusing to do their job is insubordination.

Supposedly Guyton is soft and could play but is choosing not to. At the Senior Bowl he wanted to go home after getting beat and they had to beg him to stay.

2 first round picks in a row mentally weak. I’ve been McClays biggest advocate but it may be time to go.
That is what happens when you pick for need and not best player available.

How do we know these are McClays guys? Isn’t Jerry the Gm?

What’s the source of them saying this? Neither tweeted anything about it.
It was also reported that Guyton was very limited in practice all week with a neck/shoulder injury.

Seems highly unlikely (pretty much 0% chance) anybody within the medical/training staff told the 2 radio hosts that Guyton is fine and doesn’t have an injury.
Yeah I don’t buy crap like this. I heard the same thing about Connor Williams. He’s still in the league somewhere lol.

Is this from a reliable source?

He was drafted around where he was projected, so I cannot complain about that.

My issue is he only had something like 13 starts at Right tackle.

If they kept Tyron, it wouldn’t be as bad because he wouldn’t be forced to start.

The issue was they signed Chuma to start week 1. After getting injured it put him starting Week 1 against Myles Garrett.

He needs to develop and learn the game. A solid OL coach will do wonders for him

I am a little skeptical about this. Just does not really sound right.
Unless he is a total numbskull, this sort of thing would kill his career if he is thought of as that soft.

Didn't have an issue with drafting Guyton. I had an issue putting him at Left tackle. Limited experience should have kept him at RT. Should be getting his first reps now in place of Steele with an aim to making him the starter after cutting Steele in the off season. Tyler was drafted to be Tyron's replacement. Should have stayed with that plan. We wouldn't be going into next year looking to draft a OT with a high pick for the 3rd time in 4 years.

Another bad decision from this organization.

First 5 minutes they get into it.
