Okay, so you don't like him. You are entitled to your opinion but understand that's all it is. No one ever said you had to like the man. Why you don't like me liking him is silly. Am I not entitled to my own opinion too? Long ago when I started reading his articles on the Cowboys, it was only available in newspaper form. I like what he has to say and your opinion isn't going to change that. That's the only point I've made about him so what is your problem?
I know what you mean, and I recall the same. I'd get some fax with some basic stories and team info. I think Bayless may have been involved also.
This was obviously before the media is what it is today, and the only real info out there at the time. I loved it.
So, the loyalty to Mick is understandable. I appreciate him for those days myself.
That said, things were pretty good in Dallas back then. Even when they weren't ready, we knew what was being built, and we all had every reason to be confident in who was running things.
Mickey Spagnola is a human being with bills to pay. He chooses to be a suck up to Jerry and his obvious shortcomings and put a positive spin on a helpless and sad situation for his own personal gain.
Add it all up and I dont blame the guy on one hand, but he and I have a very serious difference of opinion on how this team is run, etc, and I'd tell him so, and not think once about when I enjoyed his work in the past.
If you dont wish to see it that way, I personally understand, but in a place like this, you'll certainly find someone who doesnt.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion yes? That's what this forum is about, no?
