Broaddus: "Hearing the club is working the phones right now in an attempt to move a couple of guys"

I think Rosario might be shopped around right now. A lot of teams need a vet TE. Lissemore and Wilber are also being shopped in my opinion. Teams might be interested in Tanner.

Depending on what I could get for Orton, I'd roll with Tanney as backup and Stephens on the PS. Give me a 3rd rounder and I think I'd go for it. Or a decent backup guard or safety.

Would not roll with Tanney or Stephens, that is not workable at all.

Every team is working the phones right now.

Oh, I think they could peddle Harris for a pick. But I wouldn't.

Lissemore, Tanner or even Orton I would trade any of those for a starting RG.....Orton to Buffalo? Lissemore to Orleans, Tanner to Pitts.....all good ideas but I dont think anything will get done

Lissemore may be the only player on the roster worth anything; 3-4 teams might be interested.

No, one team might be interested. The one team that is employing that fat bastage, Rob Ryan. But Tanner is also a player that some would be interested in trading for. He's got that one cut style perfect for a zone blocking scheme.

Is that a fact?

(Spoiler alert, it's not.)

So you have faith that the Cowboys OL can protect Orton better than ROMO......ROMO is a mobile QB... Orton is a statue.....Did Jon Kitna come in save the day when the Cowboys went 6-10.... and that OL was far better than what ROMO has now.

not necessarily, Orton is capable of winning and has proven it over his career. If Romo went down for a few weeks, Orton is our best chance of surviving such a catastrophe until he came back.

Agreed..

I actually think he is probably a top 25 QB.

He hasn't looked very good this preseason though.

Kitna won five of those six games.

I think that following off season folks even wanted him to start over Romo.

Short memories or maybe arguments are being adjusted to fit current needs.

If you don't believe that we have solid depth at RB, WR, TE, CB, and arguably LB, then I'm sorry, but you are sorely misinformed regarding the depth of talent in the NFL.

Every team has that type of players as depth. You are thinking of their potential long term , which in some cases , may pan out. Take TE for example. There is one proven player and that is Witten. The others are unproven young players that have done nothing to prove themselves in there young career. Every team has these type if young players. They are not proven depth.

I'm sorry, but none of these are logical arguments. Kitna had a better record behind center that year than Romo did, for just one example.

Dallas went 5-5 with Kitna starting that year (and 5-6 with him playing most of the game) and that was with a rejuvenated team playing for their jobs vs a team that had thrown in the towel.

Agree, good point but it still didn't change things.....still not in the playoffs......If ROMO goes down Cowboys chances go down....not doomed... but in dire straits.....Orton is only good for a game or two at best..... not a playoff run.
