Can't look at it that way.
If not for Turpin's fumble, what would have happened from there. Could have been another nice drive for a TD.
Then we are playing with a lead, and not from behind. A lot different at 14-0 from 7-7 giving them momentum.
That type of thing can change a game and how the plays are called from there.

Wrong, elite defense doesn’t rely on gimmick to be good.

Ball has obvious problems with the speed rush. Two bad plays with the same defender speed rushing. Thank goodness that DE decision to incorporate other pass rush moves. If he would have kept speed racing for the rest of the game he could have had four sacks.

Malik Collins was killing Biadasz. I was like, damn how come we didn't keep him? But then I remembered Biadasz sucks moving lateral.

As you would expect a guy playing in the NFL for the first time. He has to get used to the speed of the game and the only way to do that is to practice and play against starting caliber players.

I would use Peters at RT and maybe rest him a few series by putting Ball out there.

I think it's more a matter of how terrible he was in pre-season.

That was the perception.

That was hardly the reality.

Here's what Todd Archer said about Tyron Smith after his rookie preseason... sounds a lot like what could be accurately said for Ball...

Have become increasingly persuaded, based partially on what I've read Cowboys fans on Twitter say, that the attitude is rooted in his indiscretion at 18 yrs old.

He's 24. He's not had any new history in that way. But it still appears to color how some if not many fans look at the guy.

So if he played two bad out of 26, that means he would have four bad plays per game or so

Broadus sometimes is a complete tool

Early indications are that Ball and Peters will be splitting time at RT going forward.

Geez Broadbutt. That's like saying the QB played great except for the two interceptions thrown into double coverage that were both returned for touchdowns.

He's not a rookie under any intents/purposes.

*sigh* Some people can be so spot-on sometimes, but more consistently than anything else, so tedious and ill-informed. Really.

Contrarian that I am, I don't accept the conclusive assertions of someone just because he considers his assertions as-if descending from Mt. Sinai. We all know when he was drafted. We also all know he was on IR and never played a down in 2021. Which explains why he's still considered a rookie.

But why argue with a peon like me? Argue with these people.
