The Rams and Bengals were much weaker then expected to start the season and the schedule became even easier. Now MM is a candidate for COTY?

How many other HCs are going to 4-1 without their starting QB?

Add in missing their starting LT, TE, and WR2. The backup LT is rookie. The starting LG is a career backup player. Add in the RT being unproven.

The Cowboys were down 5 staters on offense. I do not care what teams they played, that is a very difficult task and the team went 4-1.

You can’t just play one side of the schedule factor though. If we are saying Cincinnati/LA weren’t quality wins then we have to also say that NYG/Washington we’re better wins than expected too.

-Brilliant innovation on the offense or defense
-Top tier leader, motivator
-Otherworldly teacher

Mike doesn't get his hands dirty day-to-day with offense, defense or ST. Doesn't design schemes or call plays. Provides little hands on instruction. As for inspirational leader....uh....

If Mike wins a SB here he will be the first to do it with two teams. Stephen Jones, of all people, said something today that hit with me. He said that last year the offense peaked too early and than kind of flattened out. This year they are getting better and better since Dak’s return. The stats back it up over the past month.

My biggest hope is that we beat SF in the title game to face whomever in the SB. I want to shove it down SF’s throats.

I dont recall the Bengals being riddled with injury in week 2. The Rams were actually much more of a challenge to start the season than they are now. I think you could say the same about Tampa.

I'm not sure we caught anyone at a lucky time, except the Giants last week. That was good since half our defense had the flu.

I agree Miami coach will be tough to beat, but the Giants coach may be the one who gets it. Dallas and Miami were expected to at least be decent. Who really thought the Giants would be where they are? He gets my vote.

Well we lost Tampa too. GB should qualify, but I still say it was a tough game. It was essentially Rodgers last stand, in Lambeau, where we seem to always get screwed. In any event we blew it.

Broaddus has always been a McCarthy detractor but he's now done a 180 on him. Declaring him coach of the year and sure to return as head coach next year. He's earned that right.

An interesting aside, according to Eatman the Cowboys were interested in drafting Jalen Hurts in the 2nd round (they took Diggs 2 picks before Hurts went to the Eagles) but not to replace Prescott but to "do some kind of hybrid thing". 14:10 mark.

What sets McCarthy apart is that he coached Rush to 4-1. That is insane and I don't see any other team doing that with their backup.

What about Rivera winning with Heinecke? 5 of 6 so far, right?

I get this but how will you feel if we go one and done in the playoffs again? I'll reserve my vote until after the playoffs. Don't get me wrong, he's doing a darn good job but let's be honest it's exactly what he should be doing.......no rewards for that. I won't say this team is built for a Super Bowl but it certainly has the talent for a deep playoffs run. In other words, one playoff win is the floor IMO. Let's do that and then talk rewards......
