Broaddus on Devin Street

Williams needs to be catching at least 1000 passes off the jugs machine to hone his ability to catch balls more consistently away from his body. If he does that he could become a very good #2 or even become a #1 because he does have a little speed.

We need a #2 who is much faster.

We really needa #2 that is in the Golden Tate Emmanuel Sanders mode. Someone who can get deep but also can consistently beat one on one coverage with all routes. As good as we were on offense, we can be much better when teams take away Murray and Dez.

Guy caught 11 TD passes this season and people want to get rid of him...only Cowboys fans.

True, But teams are really not that afraid of him. Watch the all 22 film. He still struggles to beat one-on one coverage on shorter routes. There is no way defenses should be able to keep blitzing us as they have been if we have a more dangererous option at T Williams spot.

idk bout you but I think Williams showed some good burst with those TDS in our playoff games, he was almost caught from behind but I like his upside, his route is the one where Miles got famous, a comeback with a move inside to make the defender miss, he always seems to get good yardage after that first move.

Faster than I thought , especially competing with DB's who to a degree had a good angle on him.

Thanks for the reference. Will go back and look at that on the all 22. Really like that feature .

Don't forget Hanna. As I recall he's been timed as fast as 4.46 in the 40

It's weird that they never send him deep. He caught 1 somewhat long pass, but it's was not one that really required speed, it was more of a deception play.

Agree. Some of those Witten catches I think Escobar takes to the house with that type of speed.

Nothing against Witten, just commenting on the fact that his speed seems to be lateral now, rather than straight line...

I dont think Twill will ever stop body catching, he is what he is, honestly hes still decent and made big plays in the PLAYOFFS when we needed him

Michael Irvin was a self professed body catcher. It's not a bad thing; it doesn't mean they can't use their hands on high passes.

The only problem that Williams has is that he doesn't get enough passes thrown to him. Not sure why Cowboy fans want to run the kid out of town.

Williams needs to improve his strength. I don't think that he is physical enough to be a top flight WR at this time. With improved strength, he can be. He is very good after the catch, and is deceptively quick. He's also a very good blocker at the WR position.

Street is someone who runs good routes, but is not a particularly explosive athlete. He could also stand to add strength, but it's hard to really know what they have in him due to so few targets.

Harris is the best blocking WR on the team, but looked like he was running in mud the majority of the season. I don't know if he was playing through a leg injury, but he didn't look explosive at all. That being said, his special teams contributions are worth bringing him back.

I just don't get all this hate for T-Will.

The guy is a damn good #2 WR.

I don't know why so many people think we need 2 top 10 WR's to have a great offense.

There are people hear saying that we should give Dez and Murray the vet minimum or tell them to walk.

Can only imagine what they would think of Jerry Rice had we drafted him and he dropped a pass.

Broaddus has zero credibility. Unless you take everything he says in reverse.
