You are addressing two rookies, one of which just played in his first live game action. It shows you're inexperience that you are willing to wright them off.

Talk to me in 3 years to see how inexperience I am... I called out saying Hargreaves is a better corner the Ramsey. I told everyone that Ramsey has terrible hands. Hargreaves had 2 INTs in a game already. Ramsey just tackles for loses and does not force turnovers.

So you want to go on record saying both our rookies are trash?

FYI, most said Hargreaves was a better corner. Jaylen was a top safety/cb. You're not special.

And does Ramsey cause turnovers? No. He didn't in college b/c of his hands. Shouldn't a top safety create turnovers?

That was his knock, but opposing QBs had a ridiculously low QBR when throwing to him. He was lock-down, which is much better that the occasional pick. Also, he hasn't even played in PS bc he was injured, I believe.

You're bragging about the guys you liked in the draft after 3 preseason games...

I had reservations about Ramsey, but 3 ps games is meanless in terms of determining the value of those picks.

Hargreaves better get some picks because a 5-10 CB that runs a 4.5 forty is a risky pick at 11 overall.

He's a rookie coming off a broken foot, missing training camp and probably not fully in shape. What exactly were you expecting, Bryan?! Let the dang kid acclimate for a little bit before you start evaluating him, for crying out loud. We should be shocked that he was even on the field at all before Week 1. Unbelievable.

Wait, a rookie who is coming back froma surgically repaired broken foot looks underwhelming in his first game action. Didi Broaddus not watch 2014 when the same injury ******** Lawrences development that year.

I wasn't expecting much being his first game after a foot injury.

Thank you -- that's the way I see it as well. Players just aren't physically able to return immediately to 100% after crippling injuries. I'm surprised that Broaddus didn't choose to allow for that with a little consideration, in view of human limitations being what they are. Perhaps he's taking the perspective that his job is simply to rate performances, devoid of making excuses for them. It seems to me that sometimes, perhaps noteworthy excuses might be allowed in the interest of fairness to the player.

Broaddus just says/writes stuff without thinking about the big picture. He will make excuses for some players (Usually players he predicted to be good or players that he likes personally) .

His style does work OK on the radio broadcasts (He replaces Babe in the preseason).

This does appear to be a valid observation that you've made here. He'll more than likely see a fair amount of criticism for it in this instance. I'd think he'd do well to take criticisms of his own personal inclinations to heart after this when he feels compelled to go public with such cold evaluations. Nevertheless, I'll have to admit, I appreciate most of what he does. We all have our own idiosyncrasies, I guess . . . nobody's perfect.

And that is different from anyone else, how?

If only he could recognize the greatness of Parnell, you might like him better.

Usually, whatever Broaddus says, the opposite is often the truth.

Very true...I made a comment in another thread. ....Broaddus has been good and has improved from a reporting point of view, but not so much in his evaluations.....

He still gears things to what he wants and not to what he really sees. Though on a few evaluations I couldn't disagree. But that was about the FB's.

The funny thing is that before the draft, some of the young guys from 105.3 The Fan spent the off-season studying college players with Broaddus. I think he has the game film. Even his "students" quickly started disagreeing with his assessments. It's really weird. He knows how scouting should be done, but once he starts doing it things sometimes just go haywire in his brain. It reminds me of golf. I can and have taught people to play golf and they often and sometimes quickly get better than me. People say my swing looks almost like a Pro on the driving range, but when I hit the course, something just goes haywire in my brain.
