It's cause he lacks accuracy and if you miss on those throws the CB can make a play on the ball. His best route right now is the dig. He gets massive separation on it consistently.

LOL....massive separation and Dez simply dont go together. If Dez couldnt out jump anyone he would never catch the ball.

That was one game...Hardly the current trend we currently have going.

Crabtree and Cooper who didn’t play have been the worst culprits of dropped passes. Cooper in his first two games had six drops.

These guys led the league in drops last year.

Stop making excuses for Dak.. you guys just make things up on the fly..

You e got a whole library ofthose type of throws by Dak built on his poor pocket presence and awful technique because he ‘felt a rush’.. look at him in the back.. that’s a common criticism of him..

His INT was an awful pass too and sailed in front and high as well. Of course Dak homers blame Dez for his ‘alligator arms’ While ignoring the fact that Dak didn’t see Bowman drop back into that zone (poor read by Dak) and Dak set his WR to get a concussion all the while throwing it too far in front and high of Dez..

Perfect pass by Dak. Dez pulled up because he was scared. End of story.

Perfect camera angle on the pick to see clearly that Dez pulls up and laughable reaches out for the ball and lands cringing that he was going to get popped. If Dez continues on his route he probably catches the ball above his head in stride and hits a big play.

Any other analysis of this play is biased stupidity.

Dak could be better.

So can he...

Just because Dak missed him on one play doesn’t give him an excuse to drop a ball the next. There is no sense finger pointing here.

I have defended Dez a lot and will continue to do so but he is not completely innocent, he has missed on some opportunities as much as Dak has missed on some throws.
Dak had thrown way more uncatchable passes to Dez than Dez has drops. Stop making excuses for the QB

No, this is excluding Dak tendency to be inaccurate and having no rhythm with his WRs, because he can’t throw them open, like his pre-draft scouting reports affirmed.

Dez doesn’t even lead the league in drops.
Oh well hot dog - Dez doesn't lead the league in drops. That's comforting.

And you are still clearly missing the point of the Dez complaints.

In Dak’s ‘MVP year’ his worst throws were the go routes, whether it was Dez or TWill while with Romo even TWill was top 3, being a second WR along with Dez in go route catches.

Dez was 60-80 percent over the middle on digs and slants, just like this year it’s his best routes with Dak.

Just stop.. Dak, unless he’s running the bootled to that side of the hash, is a better version of Tim Tebow outside the hashes from behind the pocket..

Again, irrelevant to the complaints against Dez. Nobody is complaining about Dez not catching a horribly thrown ball.

Dak has had his own struggles and there are countless threads on it already. That doesn't clear Dez of his issues. That isn't making excuses for Dak.

Yeah unstoppable like that alligator arm play against Oakland. If he is so unstoppable then why don't teams double cover him anymore huh?

On Rod Smith’s 81 yard TD, the safety went straight for Dez and left the whole field open for Rod. He didn’t even bother to look at Rod, despite Smith having a LB on him..

Just stop with these absurd myths..

No it wasn’t.. just like you said that was a DB and not a LB in front of Dez ready to plow Dez.. horrible read by Dak and throw..

I agree but some of it is play calling and/or play design.......I would have a min, 5-8 ( in addition his normal targets ) plays per game that gets the ball in his hand. Plays no defense can stop.......

It is the QB
It is the design of the offense
It is playcalling
It is because he's hurt

It is not Dez
It is everybody and everything else

well I see its going tobe the same thing as usual all kinds of excuses why this team didn't win this year like injuries. They don't come out and say that the team was overrated and that it wasn't built the right way and the coaches failed big time.

The play where everyone on here blaming Dez. Zone coverage im which hes supposed to find the soft spot.

Blame.Dez.At.All.Costs

It’s eved worse than I thought watching Bowman from that angle.. look at him set up from the get go.. Dak and his ‘pre snap’ reads..

Then what are the complaints against Dez? His production? Dropped Passes? Route-running?

Exactly.. I don’t know why people fail to see this. The go route is the easiest route to defend for a CB.. he has the sidelines to work with a straight line running. Expecting Dez to catch that consistently with this inaccurate QB and pro CBs is just absurd.

Like you said, they’ve started to call some more slants and digs for Dez and he gets massive separation and consistently catches them when the ball is thrown on those routes.

You're right, run patterns that take him away from the defender by changing direction, ins slants and posts. The post is probably not open very often because the safety is always over Dez.

DB was in reference to a defensive player in the secondary dope. Who cares if it was a linebacker or not? Is that all you got?

Your analysis is worth two bags of crums. You have absolutely no clue about football.

Dropped passes, rarely getting open, occasionally route running. That is not on Dak. His overall lack of production, sure, is also due to QB play.
