Brock Lesnar back in UFC

It's announced he's on the card for 200. How do you feel about this? Good? Bad? Indifferent?

I will admit a fight against Mark Hunt would suck me in, but I think he gets smashed regardless of opponents. I do like Brock though. Thought what he did, getting into the cage with a fully juiced up Overeem after having a foot of intestine removed, was very brave.

“Brock Lesnar remains under contract to WWE, however, he has been granted a one-off opportunity to compete at UFC 200. Following this milestone event on July 9, Brock will return to WWE for SummerSlam on Sunday, August 21, live on WWE Network.”

I agree. If Brock gets absolutely destroyed in two minutes his drawing power as he's currently booked is really damaged. But if he takes Hunt to the ground and smashes him up amazing. Dream fight, him and Fedor. UFC would have made up for the Mcgregor debacle with that.

Think he'll be more effective then he was in his last 2 fights, doubt he was anywhere close to 100% with his health issues at the time. He looks much better now

Brock will fight Mark Hunt, love this match up could go either way. Hunts ground game is not strong enough to have much of a chance on the ground but his stand up is to much for Brock if he can't get it to the ground

Was this the fight that was going to be the Diaz/McGregor rematch before McGregor got the big head and screwed it up?

I know they have another match set for later.

Oh and how screwed up is it that the UFC banned a reporter or two for posting that Lesnar was going to be on the card...lifetime ban. Seems odd...sounds like Dana is getting the big head or has let his big head get away from him if the reports are true.

Rumors are WWE has plans for Brock at Summerslam but I have to wonder how accurate those are now. Granted pro wrestlers can get injured at any moment but it seems the chances he can get seriously injured in a UFC fight are higher.

I don't see how Mark Hunt's not going to get smashed. He'd have to have some kind of takedown defense to avoid it. Keep it standing though and yeah it's Hunt's fight to lose. Hunt's always had a great chin, but Lesnar's also got the power to wobble anybody in the UFC if his punches connect.

The truth is nobody knows what Lesnar looks like in the octagon healthy. So maybe he looks like a new man and just murks Hunt. I tend to doubt it but I can't rule it out.

Here's the thing though. This 200 card? Even with Lesnar it won't sell as many PPVs as 202. McGregor is the UFC. This card is his prelims. The fact that he's not on this card is another example of Dana White and his massive Jerry Jones-sized ego at play.

If Brock Lesnar is fighting then i'm watching.

I was going to watch 200 anyways even though I thought they completely screwed up the card by letting McGregor fight Diaz and lose.

I think Brock Lesnar can take Mark Hunt down and finish him with brute strength. Let's not forget he was an elite college wrestler. Mark Hunt's takedown defense is good, but I doubt he has seen a man as quick as Lesnar at that weight. With that said, I think Mark Hunt can put him to sleep quite easily. Should be entertaining.

Brock at 100% should have little problem taking Hunt down. His chin is very suspect though so the only question is can Hunt KO him before it goes to the ground

Yes, he was a very good collegiate wrestler 20 years ago...

Hunt will absolutely murder Brock. There is no reasonable comparison between them in punching technique or power and Brock has had zero cardio his entire career.
IF Brock did land a take down he'd still have zero BJJ defense.

This is one-sided and an example of why the UFC has become a joke.
Complete sell out job.
