Think he'll be more effective then he was in his last 2 fights, doubt he was anywhere close to 100% with his health issues at the time. He looks much better now

Seems like this is what the UFC and pretty much every huge Brock fan is hoping will be the case.

Brock didn't really look good in ANY of his UFC fights.
That's the issue.
Carwin basically destroyed him and ref let fight continue with Brock absorbing massive damage til Carwin gave himself a coronary.
The early Brock wins were over full-time meatballs or guys like like 40 year old Couture who were hand-picked style fits. --the one way you won't beat Lesner is humping him all fight.

Brock was champ at the softest UFC HW period in history and his fights were almost boxing made for rating nonsense.

UFC has never been as bad as they were pimping Brock and this wreaks of complete garbage done while negotiations are on going for the sell of the Organization.

Hunt is a deadly striker who weighs what Brock does in a 5'10" body. He's really hard to wrestle.
Brock's way to win would be by staying outside and jabbing or landing leg kicks (see Dos Santos win)but he has zero boxing or kick game.
Coming in tight to wrestle will put him in death range for Hunt and those haymakers.

Brock is healthier now post his divert-whatever disease but he's 7 years removed from even a marginal UFC fight.

Brock must need the money and UFC must need a big name.

Was this the fight that was going to be the Diaz/McGregor rematch before McGregor got the big head and screwed it up?

I know they have another match set for later.

Oh and how screwed up is it that the UFC banned a reporter or two for posting that Lesnar was going to be on the card...lifetime ban. Seems odd...sounds like Dana is getting the big head or has let his big head get away from him if the reports are true.

Yes that's the card. Although I don't agree that McGregor had a big head by simply saying he only wanted to do one media session and then focus on his training, being as that he'd come off his first loss. I don't think that's unreasonable in the least.

And yes they did ban at least one reporter. That Ariel something another. He's been covering UFC and MMA in general for years. He's actually very good, IMO, and he loves MMA. It's a ******** thing by Dana White because he doesn't like the guy and he's just being a prick.

part of what makes the UFC the biggest fight org is that they run it like *****.
guys are contractually obligated to do insane amounts of media.
it is very trying and does wear on the fighters.
they tightly control every aspect of everything.

will be interesting to see if dana and joe rogan and a lot of guys are around in a year when the sell is completed.

i honestly skip most cards now.
i was a big-time mma guy for a decade but it is has gotten to be too much.

No offense but anyone picking Brock is a cornball.

Brock does not have strong MMA wresting. See his actual MMA fights for evidence....
Yes, he was a very good collegiate wrestler 20 years ago...

Hunt will absolutely murder Brock. There is no reasonable comparison between them in punching technique or power and Brock has had zero cardio his entire career.
IF Brock did land a take down he'd still have zero BJJ defense.

This is one-sided and an example of why the UFC has become a joke.
Complete sell out job.

Lesnar still has it.

It was a disappointing card.

Aldo/Edgar was very one sided and Frankie was completely outclassed.

Silva/Cormier was also one sided but Silva lasted the fight on no camp two months removed from surgery at 40, that is impressive.

Bork Laser really took it to Hunt. Suprised how this went but happy for Lesnar. Got real nervous with his after fight speech. Not sure where that was going.

Not surprised about Tate losing as I don't respect her as a fighter, didn’t think she would get so decimated. That division is all over the shop.

Not a very memorable card which I blame Dana for 100%

Guys like Aldo should be docked points for running, I have no interest in watching fights like that and the aggressor should be rewarded for taking the chances to push the action. I would of given Edgar the first 2 rounds myself.

Lesnar still has it.

Naw he doesn't.
That was the worst first of the night and looked straight up fixed. Hunt just laid there absorbing damage and never doing anything.
When he did land a hard punch he looked apologetic.

Amazingly the UFC gets sold first business day after the event? And to a high profile arhlete management agency?
It's turned into all that's wrong with boxing.

Brock was paid 2.5m and given drug testing exemptions... the same drug testing that nixed the supposed main event.

I won't be buying any UFC cards for a good while that's for sure.

Miesha was fine and taking damage about like usual until that knee to the face that broke her nose. She was gone after that.
It's really hard to fight when you can't breathe normally.

Cormier didn't wanna hit Anderson so he wrestle humped him to victory.

He was only given that so he could fight on such short notice ..... he was still drug tested, but the rule states he has to be tested 4 month before the fight ..... he only new 2 months ago he would may actually fight.

You are trying to make it sound like he was not tested ..... which is bull.

http://www.foxsports.com/ufc/story/...om-early-drug-testing-ahead-of-ufc-200-060916

Jones failed the test that was given 4 months prior to the fight.
Tests done more recently won't come back for a couple weeks.
In another words whether he fails or not Brock will have his check and the company will have sold it's PPV.
Obviously they could have made an agreement and pushed Brock to fight next month when he would have abided by USADA rules.

Not shockingly Silva was also a very late add and tested such that any failures are punished after the fight and after the pay day.

Total strikes from the fight were ALDO 80 EDGAR 79

I don't think that serves as one sided. I thought Edgar won personally. Granted his face was busted up but shoot look at how easily some fighters get cut compared to others.

Lesnar took him down at will. Not the fighting style I enjoy, but he had a game plan and it worked. UFC being sold has been rumored for weeks, if not months....

Tate was never in that fight. She ate strikes that entire round and tapped on a choke that appeared to be more on her chin.
