Jerry is trying to be far too cute.

If he thinks JC is the answer then make him the headcoach and get him a big time QB coach/OC and a solid DC.

This is true, that's how we ended up with Wade in the first place.

I think you meant JG and I agree, I'd luv to see him as HC. He's seen how its done from one of the best in Jimmy. I bet he cringes at the way WP soft ways run this team....

I doubt that would happen. I think the only way Jerry fires Wade at this point is if something very odd were to happen. Something along the lines of Jimmy saying he would like to come back. Other than that, Wade is here for next year. Even though my sig and heart say different, my head tells me it ain't happening.

Just watch, if JG goes there, they'll become some powerhouse offense. You guys know what our luck is like.

This team and particularly the O had great success last year cause it was still operating on the discipline ways that BP instilled in them. As time has gone on, WP soft layed back style has filtered throughout this team and this is what we have now.. Its just that simple...

Plus parts of the Old Parcell's staff was still in place here, and Garrett had a lot of help with the offensive game planning.

All of that is gone now.

This, admittedly, is as waffling an opinion as there is. But I'll say it anyway.

I don't know what to root for with Garrett. Hope he leaves? Pray he stays and we can nurture him into a head coach someday? I have no clue, honestly.

Mentally, I'm at a point where I feel pretty confident this team needs some major shakeup, yet every major character is set to return next season. So even if Garrett could be good down the road, a part of me wants to root for him to leave for this reason alone. If his exit can help lead to a shakeup here, maybe it's for the better.

I'm just not convinced we can win with Wade, Garrett and this cast of players. So something has to give, even if it takes another organization stepping in and forcing our hand.

let me help you...HOPE HE LEAVES!!!!

Living in Bronco country I must say I am SHOCKED that Bowlen made this move. Mostly because there hasn't been a sniff of it in the media.

But then it was Bowlen who had the guts to fire Dan Reeves who took the org to their only 3 SB appearances in history.

He stumbled by picking Wade as his successor but then wisely corrected that move with the Shanahan hire two years later.

I suspect that Garrett is very much on Bowlen's radar. I absolutely want Garrett here. But if he has to go I could be happy for him in Denver because Bowlen is a VERY good owner. Garrett would never regret that move.

He's all yours!

I'd hire Shanahan as HC in a second if he'd come here.
They were discussing this on Fox radio today as a possibility. It was more of a rumor or speculation. They reported that they just could not see it since Shanahan would want to pick his own players and Jones will not let him. They said that if Jones could convince Phillips to go to defensive coordinator and have Shanahan as the Head coach calling the offensive plays, the Cowboys might be Super Bowl favorites. They said that Shanahan would know what to do with all of offensive weapons like he did with the Broncos weapons. Unfortunately, he did not do well on the defensive side of the ball as he chose lousy draft picks. They reported that he puts together a great offensive game plan but Dallas fans can rest assure that it will not happen since Jones will not give up his GM duties.
