Brooking calls final Vikes' score 'classless'

Brooking should not have done what he did IMO... It just reflects badly on him and the team. We got our ***** whooped bottom line. There's no one else to blame for our lack of ability to exit the plane. This loss was all on us. Period. Don't go make a spectacle because you can't stop their offense. It only serves to make you look elementary...

It was a cheap score but I would've preferred if Brooking was more subtle about it. Going over to the sidelines was over the top and makes us look like whiners.

We're already the most hated team in football. No need to add gas to the fire for all the haters.

If you haven't noticed in the last,oh say, 40 something years, our team will be hated by multitudes of other teams, even if we visit every hospital in the land,or go give out food, water and shelter to every poor soul in Haiti...It comes with the territory of being the Dallas cowboys...EMBRACE THE HATRED!

I really don't see anything wrong with what the Vikes done. "Running up the score" is the dumbest sports phrase going.

Interesting use of the word "done". Especially with "dumbest" following it up.:D

I've been a fan of Brooking throughout the season, but this is ridiculous. There is nothing wrong with what the Vikings did. We need fewer talkers and more doers on this team.

how is classless to say that you hope a qb gets hit??? aren't hits part of their job??? besides if its a clean hit nobody can cry about it. im simply saying that i wouldn't pity him if he gets his clock cleaned by a 260lb man...honestly i might luagh alittle and you know you would too

I didn't say that it's classless to "hope a qb gets hit." I am referring to hoping a QB gets injured...that's classless and bush-league.
If you're hoping for anyone to get hurt or celebrating an injury--you need to take a long look in the mirror and assess the quality of your character.

the Cowboys' defense played hard that last play and the receivers were pretty well covered. It took a great catch to score.

IMO, the Vikes didn't need to do that, we'll remember this next year when Jackson's their QB again.

I don't believe that it's something teams should do but that is my personal feeling on such things.

I don't like it, I think it's silly, and I think it shows a total lack of character and respect for the game you're being allowed to be part of to do things like that.

That said people are free to do what they want. They're paid professionals are have the right to go out and try and score anytime they want as long as they want to.

I just don't want to hear any Vikings players, or fans, crying and whining about it when it comes back around and happens to them.

And it will. These things always balance themselves out.

I usually say that if the D doesn't want the other team to score, then stop them.

However, it was a 4th down play with 2 minutes left in the game and they're up by 24 points. Whats more, Dallas didn't have a timeout left. That wasn't necessary and the team should remember that for the game next year. I hope Favre doesn't retire after this season. I would like him to be in that game.

I was pretty weak on their part to take the extra TD. But I have mixed feelings on that topic: 1) teams should not blanatantly run up the score, 2) but if you don't want them to socre than stop them from doing it.

We got outplayed and they were most certainly the better team ...at least yesterday at their place. This isn't the NBA or MLB, so there's no second or 5the chance. It's one and done...so any payback will have to come later.

The best team does not always win....ask San Diego. I'm not saying the Cowboys are better than Minny (in fact, I had major concerns about this one going in but was a homer and picked us 27-24) but i am sure that the jets are not better than the Chargers. Yet for one game, they did pull it out.

You let a bag of bones 40 year old QB beat you someone should have pasted him like N.O did to K.Warner That would have stopped him from acting like a clown. The first TD he threw I think he was more surprised then anything. Just let that puke beat you This team should be bloody embarrassed The bears beat him up THE BEARS and our big great D went home with there tails beaten between their legs...

That 40 year old puke was lights out yesterday. I think he now has 36 or 37 tds and only 7 (?) picks all season...so this was more normal than anything.

Honestly seeing my team complain about another team running up the score is as embarrassing as the score itself.

The only thing classless that took place yesterday was the Cowboys quitting.

Yep, this 40 year old QB is playing the best football of his career.
