It was classless. He's just stating the truth.

No need to go for it on 4th and 3 with a play action pass with that little time left and up 24 points.

All these other rationalizations about stopping them is just garbage.

Everyone knows it was unsportsmanlike.

I agree with Troy Aikman when he said Keith Brooking let his emotions get the best of him.

This team is too talented to even be in position to get the score ran up on them.

And why would the Cowboys use this as a rallying cry for next Season against the Vikings because I am told that "Prior Seasons don't matter".

I think New Orleans defense will take out that entire team of classless *****s. I'm gonna laugh my *** off when it happens too. Pat Williams enjoy it now buddy, we usually get revenge on teams we don't like. Just ask Philly, and believe me those Purple Headed toolbags will get their *** beaten bad next season.

Would that be the game where we ran up the score.....getting zero points in the fourth quarter?
I didn't say we ran up the score, we played the song "Sha-na-na Goodbye" which I think was a little on the classless side. It's debatable that if the Eagles did not have all the injuries over the course of the season, we would not have even made the POs nor beat them 3 times..

MINNEAPOLIS -- Yes, the Cowboys got beat up pretty bad Sunday afternoon by the Vikings in the NFC divisional round, 34-3.

But did the Vikings run up the score?

It all started with about 6:24 to play in the game and the Vikings leading, 27-3. The Cowboys used all their timeouts as the Vikings tried to run out the clock. Instead of kicking a 47-yard field goal on fourth down, Brett Favre threw an incomplete pass into the end zone.

The Cowboys turned the ball over on downs on the ensuing possession, and the Vikings got the ball at the Cowboys 34. But Favre threw a 11-yard touchdown pass to tight end Visanthe Shiancoe on a fourth-and-3 at the Cowboys 11 to make the score 34-3.

After the game, linebacker Keith Brooking walked over to the Vikings sidelines and yelled at some of the Vikings players, especially coach and playcaller Brad Childress.

"I was just trying to say something to whoever wanted to listen on their sidelines," Brooking said. "Whoever was in charge of calling that play and making that decision. It was B.S."

Wade Phillips noted how the Vikings ran up the score in his opening statements to the media.

"Defensively we gave up big plays we hadn’t given up," he said. "And [the Vikings] know how to run it up when they get ahead again. And we were coming after them and they made plays."

Later, he was asked if he thought the Vikings ran up the score.

"Yeah, unnecessarily no," Phillips said. "I mean, they have the right to play whatever they want to play."

Would you he the same thing?

"I can't answer that. I wasn’t in that position."

The Cowboys will play the Vikings here in 2010.

"Yeah, they get to see us, so you better believe I will have that one circled on the calendar," Brooking said. "I say we get paid to stop them. I don’t care what’s called, but there comes a time, I just think there wasn’t much class involved in that decision in what he did."

Vikings nose tackle Pat Williams dismissed Brookings comments.

"We don’t care what Keith Brooking says,” Williams said. “He was about to get his *** whupped on our sideline over there. It don’t matter. Nobody said anything when they blew out the Eagles [the past two weeks]. It’s the playoffs. It ain’t no regular-season game. If you lose, you go home. We take no pity on them. Do they expect us to? I don’t care about no Brooking. He can say whatever he wants to say.”

Prior seasons do matter, just ask the Eagles.

Sure its the cowboys fault the Vikings decided to run play action and throw a TD that made them look classless. If it wasnt low then we wouldnt be talking about it right now. It wouldnt be a story if it wasnt a classless act.

But you are right. Our team showing some life and excitement after making a play is reason enough to show no class. Great post.

I'd like to start by saying regardless of my opinion on the matter, Keith Brooking would've whooped Pat Williams' fat ***. 320 pounds of I'm slow, I wish this Keith Brooking guy would stop punching me in the face. Seriously, the only reason Pat Williams would kick my *** is because he has a fat one to sit on me.

Fatty McNugget Williams is going to get embarassed in New Orleans next week. Trust me that turd only has 2 sacks on the year. He needs to also lose alot of weight. He might find himself having chest pains from the cheeseburgers he stuffs his fat *** with. **** that unclassy dirty fat piece of ****.

I dont know if we will do anything about it next year. I will take satisfaction when they get their ***** handed to them next week. If nothing else, it gives me a team to root for next week. Whoever plays the Vikings this year, is my new favorite team.

Childress is a no powered coach. Favre is such a ****** bag, he punked his own head coach.

Should've stopped them. They beat us in their "hood"

All that talk about the Metrodome being the "hood" was just code for the Vikes. They thought that they were the more physical football team, and they proved it. Cowboys started the game w/3 straight turnovers in Vikes' territory. They only have themselves to blame.

You shut up the other team by kicking their ***** on their own field.

And this guy spent "all" season saying the past didn't matter.

Love what this guy brings to the table but just let it go and get ready for next Season.
