He did nothing today. Good work Keith the leader.

He's like 70 in football years. He's been invisible in a lot of games in case you weren't keeping score. He's a better leader than anyone else on this team though.

But he did a good job of helping get the team to this point.

It was classless. He's just stating the truth.

No need to go for it on 4th and 3 with a play action pass with that little time left and up 24 points.

All these other rationalizations about stopping them is just garbage.

Everyone knows it was unsportsmanlike.

The we were trying to let them stop us argument was a lame excuse for D-Bags when Bellichick did it after almost every game in 2007. Its a lame excuse now too. I don't normally wish anything bad on a player but it would have almost served the Vikes right to have favre or Rice go down with something while doing that. I mean when a college team is running it up at least they are usually playing 2nd or 3rd stringers.

Pat Williams just turned me into a Saints fan for this weekend.
I don't like either team and I usually root for the NFC when the 'boys are out of it.

I did think it was an unnecessary, stat-building, rub-it-in touchdown. But I also don't really have much of a problem with them doing it. The game's not over till it's over, and it wasn't like they were passing non-stop down the stretch. It's bad enough getting our butts beat, but I'd rather not be whiny about it afterward.

Right message, wrong messenger. Brook taunted the Atlanta sideline for over four hours last October, so he's the last guy to be calling anybody out over "class."

BOOO HOOOOOO

they rubbed it in.. So? they dropped 34 on Dallas and are a better team.

Stop them simple saying anything other than we shoudl have stopped them sounds like a kid crying IMO

and this wait till next season crap... I would trade winning todays game for a chance to next week in the NFCCG and lose next season 70-0 any day in the reg season.

Exactly. One game away from the Championship game and you didn't even show up.

I'm AFC for the Super Bowl probably, but as of right now I'm going for the Saints against the Vikings. Reason being, they don't have Pat Williams. I also think it's pretty cool that they signed McAllister, it was a great gesture. Loyalty. I'm not sure about the Chargers and the Jets though. Chargers have Norv and Mike Tolbert (went to Coastal,) but I'm starting to like this Jets underdog thing. And I know it's a New York team, but at least it ain't the Giants. I don't mind the Jets. It's hard for me though, because I don't really care for either.

And guys, give Brooking a break, he's just sticking up for his team.

MINNEAPOLIS -- Tempers flared Sunday at the Metrodome after Minnesota’s final touchdown of a 34-3 playoff victory over Dallas. Cowboys linebacker Keith Brooking sprinted toward the Vikings’ sideline, taunting coach Brad Childress and later calling the late score “classless.”

Vikings nose tackle Pat Williams, meanwhile, said Brooking was lucky to escape the Minnesota sideline in one piece.

"We don’t care what Keith Brooking says,” Williams said. “He was about to get his *** whupped on our sideline over there. It don’t matter. Nobody said anything when they blew out the Eagles [the past two weeks]. It’s the playoffs. It ain’t no regular-season game. If you lose, you go home. We take no pity on them. Do they expect us to? I don’t care about no Brooking. He can say whatever he wants to say.”
To recap: Ahead 27-3 late in the fourth quarter, Childress left his starters in the game. The Cowboys gave up the ball on downs at their 37-yard line with 5:26 remaining, and the Vikings threw three passes on their ensuing six-play drive. The final one was an 11-yard touchdown pass to tight end Visanthe Shiancoe on fourth-and-3 with 1:55 remaining.

Cowboys coach Wade Phillips acknowledged that the Vikings ran up the score, but he didn't seem particularly bothered by it. But Brooking was about to take the last score in stride.

"I thought it was classless," he told me. "I thought it was B.S. Granted, we get paid to stop them, but we had zero timeouts left. I didn’t think there was any call for that."

Told of Brooking’s comments, Shiancoe laughed and said: “OK, we apologize. I’m sorry. Better?”

Feel free to weigh in both this post and over at SportsNation.

Fatty McNugget Williams is going to get embarassed in New Orleans next week. Trust me that turd only has 2 sacks on the year. He needs to also lose alot of weight. He might find himself having chest pains from the cheeseburgers he stuffs his fat *** with. **** that unclassy dirty fat piece of ****.

Pat Williams just shut Brooking down. Damn, lol.
He didn't shut anything down. If he really wanted to he should have really did what he said he was going to do. Instead of saying'“He was about to get his *** whupped on our sideline over there.' just DO it.

Nah I just think he should keep his mouth shut. It's the fact that "we were about to whoop your *** man." When you didn't do anything. I would have been more content if he would have "whooped" Keith Brooking's ***. I just don't see that happening, ever. Linebackers are athletes, nose tackles can be, but Pat Williams against a linebacker in a fight? I'd like the LB's chances.

He should let it go, it looks worse on him than it does on them.
It's not a pity league and it's your choice to show some or not; if you choose to don't think it's general practice.

I think it was classless but agree that Brooking needs to let it go. Use it next year but drop it now or you're going to get more of these Shiancoe jibes, which are pretty freaking painful to read.
