This sums it up perfectly.
I knew as soon as we punted the ball back to Denver with the score being 10-10 that we were going to lose.
I looked over and told my girlfriend, "watch Denver drive right down the field and get a TD here". 3 plays later Marshall jumped over T-New and broke about 15 tackles as he walked into the endzone.
I just looked at my girlfriend and said, "see, happens every time."
Wow, I did the exact same thing. As soon as we punted, I said "They're going to score here, it happens every time". She called me crazy, and that it was only 10-10. I got up and walked over to the computer to check my fantasy league and sure enough as soon as I sit down I hear the Broncos scoring.
"Wow that sucks" is all she could say. I said "yep, it's part of being a Cowboys fan."
It's a sad state of affairs when as fans we come to expect this. I don't blame the defense, they had an emotional stand on the previous Denver drive that made me proud to be a Dallas fan. The offense just could not move the chains, simple as that.
Part of is playcalling, part of it was Romo's being off. Romo certainly has to say a lot to his own team lining up, i don't know what's up with that. That might have effected his concentration, who knows. I really did like what I saw from this D though, they stepped up a ton during this game and if we can get our offense rolling midseason I have no doubt we'll win a playoff game.
