I haven't liked what I have seen from Brooks this year, but that was a quality catch. Good stuff.

Disagree. No one catches this ball if it's three yards further ahead of him.
Not saying you're wrong, it was a heck of a catch. I'm just saying the WR has separation and if the ball this thrown out in front of him (Green line) he maintains that and it's an easier catch. (Red is showing where the ball is, and current separation, Yellow shows where it goes, and how the defenders catch up due to the WR having to sit down on it, and green suggests throwing out in front and letting him maintain separation)

Now, obviously, I'm just drawing cartoons, poorly, but here is the point of the catch to show you there is plenty of room in the corner of the endzone to lead the WR better.

I agree there is room but I just don't think he gets to the ball if it's much more in front of him. Also, as a young player I think his highest catch probability is to cradle the ball into his body rather than trying to pluck the ball out of the air with arms fully extended.

But I get what you are saying.
