Supposed to be a really bad storm, will be interesting to see how quickly the snow accumulates, but curious why the weather report shows no snow and sunshine for Sunday in Buffalo.
Anyone in NY confirming this?

If they have the snow they already have and they can still get more snow, who cares if it's sunny and not calling for snow on game-day?

It's not like everyone is going to be working around the clock Saturday night to make the field ready for Sunday.

5ft and counting since midnight,I live 10 minutes from the stadium
Good grief, I really need to tune into some actual news.
I have been in some deep snow storms, but that is some major accumulation, when did the snow actually begin?

The Bills stadium is in Orchard Park, in case you're still wondering why they moved the game.

Game gets moved on Thursday, over 50,000 tickets are sold - at a neutral site - by Saturday. Only the NFL.

The old school NFL players are rolling in their graves.

Yeah, because this is totally the same.

Texans won't drive to the grocery store if it snows at all, but it's "soft" to not play a game with 5 feet of snow coming. Stay in your lane, Texans. :muttley:

Maybe the Texans go to the grocery store before it snows?

This reminds me of a time when we were heading home from Lake Tahoe to the Bay Area and a rockslide shut the mountain road leading out of Tahoe down for a few hours. There was literally nothing you could do but turn your car off and wait for them to clear it. As we sat there in the cold and the freezing rain the road iced underneath us so when the traffic started to move my Suburban just spun in place and then started sliding sideways into the oncoming traffic lane. Fortunately everything was moving so slow that nobody hit me. Crazy stuff. Not showing proper respect to icy roads can git you dead PDQ.

In case you run into this issue in the future, just idle the vehicle. A few hours of idling hardly wastes any gas. Because when you turn that vehicle off, no more warmth is hitting the ground. When I worked for the New Jersey Turnpike roadway, when we weren't moving, we were idling. Sometimes idling the entire shift. The extra gasoline used is minimal.

The last article I read said the Bills players couldn't leave their houses and the Buffalo airport was closed.

if the snow was heavy enough it might be the tv cameras could not see the field or players.
the cameras on wires might be covered in snow so they could not see either.
getting players to game and back safely might be an issue too.

would be fun to watch though, make it national broadcast.
hopefully they show us that field during game in detroit, see what it would have been like/.

They will show the conditions at Bills' stadium starting this morning's pregame shows, and on through the day.

Saw you guys plenty of time on the side of the Turnpike and GSP waiting for snow to re-accumulate to be cleared.....also saw all the ****** drivers attempting to drive around your trucks because they think their 4 wheel drive is special in decent snow.

Yep. People will attempt to pass the plows using the shoulder. Or try to maneuver between the staggard snow plows.

There are people that complain that their car was hit with salt. When my spreader was on, it stays on until I run out of salt. No one turns it off for passing cars.

Collin Mcarthey (however you spell his name) doesn't have his facts right.

Buffalo gets it's fair share of snow, but nothing like around Tug Hill, NY. I was just south of there in '97

Issue is, it's not a big city and sometimes it's hard to get exact measurements. The "unofficial count" as like 90" after it finally stopped snowing. A shiteload of snow...

I'm at the point in my life where I'm done with snow, want nothing to do with it, perhaps a trip snowboarding LOL
