Not true. I'm an NDSU Bison fan from North Dakota. Wentz redshirted his freshman year, when they won their first of 5 National Championships in a row. The next two, he backed up Brock Jensen while the Bison won two more championships. He then started the next two years, and the Bison won two more Championships.

Sounds like he's directly responsible for 5 Championships.

Aha, my mistake! I just remember them saying "if he was so good then whyd he back up the nobody for 2 years?" By some of the doubters last year.
I hear them basically saying the same thing about trubisky as to why he couldn't beat out a guy with 0 nfl potential for 2 years.
Wentz proved it didnt matter and Mitchel could as well

Browns being Browns.

If was true, we need to trade up and then trade up again, like Philly did last year. Would be expensive as heck, but Garrett might be worth it.

The last year he got hurt early in the season and then returned for the National Championship game.

I realize this only strengthens Risen's argument that Wentz is indeed Jesus Christ.

Or maybe they think the qbs this year are better than Wentz. I mean it is the Browns.

This is code for 'the NFL asked us to make the start of the draft interesting, somehow.'

They'd be better off hinting another team wants to trade up for Garrett and they're considering it. At least that'd be believable.

What's the point of not taking Wentz and then go QB at 1 the following year with an infinitely lesser prospect?

I was really suprised they didn't take a qb last year. My guess is they want to load up on picks.

The Sonny Weaver, Jr. deal?

That's an expensive bill.
He'd have to fall lower than 2. Probably the 6-8 range to at least make it a feasible scenario. Even then it's going to be similar to what Atlanta gave up for Julio.

Sounds like drumming up controversy for website hits.

I can see it. What's the point in getting a DE when you have no qb?
Cleveland should not take a QB. Super Bad teams ruin QBs. Surround some veteran QB with a lot of talent and then draft a QB when the team is good enough for the young QB to succeed.

They are talking Garrett. You can chisel it on granite. Even if the Browns trade down Garrett still is the first player selected.

I thought they were going to make a run at garapppaloooow but they didn't. Not QB is worth the one pick. I guess it'd be best to draft garrett

I called bs on these qbs dropping, half the top ten really need a new or legit qb! Watson is amazing and the only negatives they come up with for trubisky are the same things they said about Wentz whom proved to be a legit franchise
QB to build around despite not starting until his final and only year and coming from a school which "doesnt traditionally produce franchise qb's" lol!

Which school produces a bunch of franchise qb's? Tenessee? Michigan? Stanford? Cal? Purdue? Oregon? Fl State? .......
None! If those schools and others didnt have that one guy then theyd have 0.

Anyways

I call 2 qb's top ten and most likely skyrocket to top 5 like last year
I call 2 more in first (Kizer & Mahomes)

Also everybodys talking about next years guys and how they would be picked ahead of this years guys. I remember when they said the same thing about Matt Leinart during the draft that Aaron Rodgers and Alex Smith came out so.....
Carson has proved he's a franchise QB?

NOT taking Garrett would definately be a "Brown's type of move".

Pre-draft noise. Draft timing with the Masters, NBA/NHL playoffs, and Easter means we suffer this nonsense.

Yup.

That and the Browns probably want to trade down and are trying to drum up some trade interest.

No way Trubinsky goes #1.
