There is zero chance Robinson falls to 26 and there are only 2 WRs in this draft worthy of a first round pick. Neither would see much of the field in Dallas next year with CD, Gallup, and Cooks getting all the reps. Sure we could use a G and a CB but we NEED a TE. A pass catching TE is crucial in this offense and we don't currently have one. So which position is going to make the biggest impact on the team next year? TE
That's just flat out wrong, Ferguson, Hendershot and McKeon are all more than capable of catching passes. And as I sated above, big Mike is now calling the plays and he has never used the TE like that. The days of offensive mind juggernauts JG and KM and their TE pass happy offense are over.

they had 19, 11 and 2 receptions respectively. I think they are all question marks at this point. They have potential, but also unproven.

What if mayer is the 2nd coming of Gronk? Gronk wasn't the best athlete, but was dominant. He ran a 4.68 and Mayer a 4.70. I think people view him as Gronk 2.0, which would be fantastic in the 1st. He's not Kelce or Kittle, but I think we can all agree that having a Gronk clone (potentially) would be a great pick up.
not even close.Gronkowski had a RAS of 9.46 while Mayer has a RAS of 7.65.RAS is just a weird metric but Gronkowski was a freak athlete.

Yea, it’s really not even close.

Witten is a bad comp and Gronk is a worse comp.

All below average NFL talent. Schultz played a huge role in the offense the past 2 seasons. None of those guys can replace his production.

The packers always drafted defense bc that was the weaker side of the ball. Aaron Rodgers made players better. Thats said, Jermichael Finley played a huge role in MMs only super bowl season in GB.

I'll say I disagree that Ferg is below ave talent. I think he can do it all, if he's given the chance. If you want a purely pass catching TE like Shultz was than so be it, but then why let him and Jarwin before him (after they paid him) both walk out the door if that's what they want at TE?

They aren't going to try and replace his production with another TE. They are going to shift that production elsewhere, i.e. more quick hitters to the WRs and also the RBs taking far more passes than we're used to seeing. That's what the West Coast offense does. The TE is sprinkled in to keep the defenses honest about covering the entire field and that's about it.

You let the TEs walk b/c you can't pay everyone and there are good TE's in every draft. Its like RB which is another easy position to replace with a rookie contract. I am not advocating the TE be a focal point of the offense. Its a check down position and Dak does a lot of checking down. You need someone open.
