Bryan Broaddus on Cowboys Break this morning

And you think Detroit can make the right decision about QBs? Look what they have done to Stafford....and are well on their way to securing the #1 pick. Their front office has been killing it....(sarcasm)

Stafford is fine. He has no offensive line. They're just fine in how they've handled the QB situation. It's just about every other position they can't figure out.

I'm not opposed to putting him in for the Fresno State game.

does it really matter who the QB is at this point? they will just dink and dunk and try to keep the game close.

I'm okay with Moore getting a shot now, but the idea that he "should have been named the starter from day one" after Romo's injury is flat out stupid. Don't be such a Boise homer.

What's so stupid about playing the best QB? I've known this since Moore got here. It's not my fault you couldn't see it....until now. Anyway...Welcome aboard the KM express;)

You do realize they benched him and fired the offensive coordinator????? What does that say about Detroit's ability to evaluate their QBs?

Who says I'm trying to be funny?:)

It's just killing people that the things I was saying a month ago is proving to be correct.

Just accept the Brilliance of Floaty......and embrace it:D

an 'internet' expert says Kellen Moore is better than Cassell or Weeden. which comes under the column 'stencil stupid on forehead'

The problem for the other QBs at this point...is that Romo is eligible to practice starting this week, and they've said he'll participate immediately. That may start with throwing on the side, and then progress to 7-on-7. Soon there will be very limited first team reps for others (possibly with the exception of Wednesdays). Garrett also said that Cassel will take the majority (if not all), of the 1st team reps this week.

While not my favorite course of action, perhaps carry all 3 for the next two games if able to. If one is really flubbing things badly...perhaps put another in. Inexplicably, even Weeden has performed quite a bit better in relief. Moore is an unknown given he's never started an NFL regular season game. They get to see him everyday...but if at all potentially contemplating playing him at some point, they'd have to activate him & give him at least some 1st team reps.

I think they're gonna ride with Cassel until Romo returns. Hopefully, it's not to another two losses. Given that they'll pretty much need to win the division...the Eagles game is crucial.

Playing Moore would be the personnel equivalent of going for it on fourth down instead of taking the lead in the game last week. Tactically dumb. It's clearly better to hold the fort and try to beat the Eagles at home with defense and the OL again. This time with Dez playing.

I do think the team likes Moore, though. Keeping him active right now and not trying to get him on the PS says to me that they see him as a player to groom going into next season.

Wow, I didn't know that. Pure ignorance. Nevermind, I stand corrected.

Love it how under the Jones regime they have selected exactly one (1) quality QB because he was a no-brainer, top-draft pick.

The only other was picked out by Sean Payton (you might remember him, they let him go too, to "moderate" success in NO).

And the Jones regime continues to pick winners at QB like Weeden and Cassell.

Moore isn't in Dallas because of the Jones. I'd also say he isn't seeing the field also because of the Jones and their genius at evaluating QBs.

Moore might not be the answer but it isn't because the geniuses in Detroit and Dallas are such experts at evaluating and deploying talent. I'd also suspect Stafford has taken a step back because Moore isn't there helping him.

He should have been named the starter from Day one once Romo was officially put on IR. He had more experience than either Weedon or Cassel in Linehan's system.

Now they want Kellen to bail them out.......:lmao::lmao2::laugh:

Yup I seen this coming a mile away.

If you guys think Cassel can't throw a deep ball wait til you see this rag-armed lefty throw lollipops that any NFL safety not named Barry Church will have plenty of time to run under.

He's a great kid. He's not a NFL quarterback.

I do sort of agree that, if they were going to start Moore, they ought to have done it two weeks ago. I think Weeden earned his looks, especially after going 7-7 and a touch in relieve in PHI, but once they made that move, that was when you'd play Moore if you were ever going to. Two weeks to prepare, and enough runway to give him a decent trial. But it would have taken huge balls to trust the season to a kid like that with physical limitations when you had a 90-start player on the bench.

That would make Free his blindside blocker?

At this point stick with Cassel and play these next two games out. If our staff feels Cassel should start over Moore then there's good reason for it. They still don't have confidence in him. If they did the Cassel trade never happens.
