That’s a reflection on the Cowboys not Quinn. Quinn has his SB rings and SB appearance. Quinn never told these guys to play well against bad teams and suck against the good ones l.
Come on dude you're half right we watched him not Adjust in games literally start getting ran over and have no answer and don't say he didn't have the players,

he did choose he did put those packages on the field with undersized hybrid linebackers and when he was getting ran over like he was in Buffalo never made an adjustment didn't do what he needed to do he thought well they can run all day and eat up clock but eventually we're going to win the game because I can't do it all day you know what happened they did do it all day..

I mean we saw this happen in Atlanta as well and then it happened here , you act like it's not his fault because ,he wasn't given what a whole group of Hall of Fame players, so you're saying that Jimmy Johnson really wasn't a great coach he just had a bunch of great players??

I mean is that what you're saying?? I mean it goes both ways right ,you need to have a coach that knows how to utilize the players he has to put in the best position and I don't believe Quinn did that at all he was arrogant he had an ego and he said we're running our scheme no matter what we're not going to adjust I will find a way to make my scheme my square peg fit in the round hole and it didn't work...

I realize talent matters but he had plenty of talent he picked most of his own groceries as parcel said, iE last 3 drafts he got what he asked for, brought in HIS FAS, he made his bed and we saw him wet the bed...
He is known for blowing leads he's known for not adjusting he's got an ego about his way or no way he has no other way... Yes every coach needs a nice group of core players that are good that he can work with and I believe he had those I mean we did lose diggs early but for the most part he did this to hear before as well when we had a healthy defense he blew leads in Green Bay and against the Jaguars where our offense gave him big leads, I thought he was about big leads you give him a lead there's no way we can lose with Quinn's defense right? WRONG!!

Under DQ, the Cowboy's defense had to have a substantial scoring lead to operate as-planned, and when they only had to defend against the pass it worked well. When the score is even-up or they are behind, his defensive scheme with smaller players is not sustainable, and that proved out when a team ran the ball or wanted to control the clock. It does not take a rocket scientist to see/figure out the problem.

We have yet to see Zimmer's adjustments, but at least it'll be fresh. If we are going to get beat, at least let us get beat in a new story, not the same old crapola we've been getting fed the last few years. I am glad to see a more physical, overall larger personnel scheme on the field. I'm willing to give up some of those turnovers for a more consistent, dependable result. I'm not a fan of the high risk/high reward style of defense DQ embodied. How many folks here can admit that you knew the Cowboy's defense were going to blow a 3rd-and-long situation? I always cringed when it was 3rd-and-long, because it seemed more often than not, the opposing team converted.

People complaining about Quinn’s defense only shutting down “bad offenses” don’t see the irony when it comes to Dak padding stats against bad defenses off the TOs Dan’s “bad defenses” generated…

Dan’s defense was predicated on going down-field and letting Parsons attack.

Yeah, that Quinn defense was so good, it gave up TDs in 6 in 7 drives against the Packers in the last playoffs. Even with lesser talent, Zimmer's defenses won't do that.
the packers were giving the vaunted 49ers d all they could handle as well. terrible game, but is not an indictment on quinns entire tenure. and if that's how you look at it, we better never ever hear you defending dak again.

…..Dan’s defense was predicated on going down-field and letting Parsons attack.
While the opponents running back would just run right past our defenders waving at open air. What I saw, was pretty much an undisciplined attack (bad angles and whiffs) by a bunch of guys going after a sack instead of prioritizing getting the tackle first. Sometimes this worked, most of the time, it didn't.

Yes, Parsons got held, a lot. I won't make any excuses for the officials not stepping in more often.
