I just watched the podcast of today's show. Broadus was unreasonably argumentative with Derek Eagleton about Dak's performance. He even told Derek "you can get mad if you want to." All Derek was saying was that Dak has been impressive. Broadus kept interrupting him saying "look at the total body of work" (which Derek was IMO). Broadus kept saying that Dak has made mistakes in every game and Derek said that's true of 99% of all QBs. Broadus was being horribly unprofessional to the point where Nick and Taylor weren't their usual playful selves like they were trying to stay out of it. Derek kept drumming his fingers on the desk, but overall he handled it well. As the show went on, Broadus sat there with a sour look on his face, interjecting insightful comments now and then (I'll give him that). When the show ended, he hopped up immediately and walked out. He normally lingers for a little bit, at least longer than that.

In my opinion, Broadus is a short-tempered know-it-all, but today took the cake for me. I have no problem with heated conversation. It makes the show interesting. But I think it's time for Broadus to move on (or be let go) from The Break and stick to the draft shows or fantasy football type stuff. He is such a grump.

Boo hoo if he doesn't agree with your point of view. He's an awesome asset to that team, I've learned so much from a scouting and game planning aspect from listening to him.

Yeah he was a bit argumentative today, but those four have awesome chemistry. I think his point was, even at 2-7 last year, people still thought we had a chance cause romo was coming back and could win all his games... you forget what an impact he can make to this team. Not that I agree, but people have forgotten what #9 is capable of, that's what Bryan is saying. He can make passes that Dak can't. But he also doesn't have the athleticism of the rookie

Edit: first sentence reads harsher than it should... I just feel BB gets so much hate, but he's something DC.com fans can enjoy that no other official site can offer, experience wise.

I personally like his indsight. He's not always right but he knows more football than anyone on this forum
His knowledge is not the problem, but I don't tune in to watch him sulk and sit there with a scowl on his face. He used to be really rude to callers, but they must've warned him about that because he stopped.

You don't know my point of view. Broadus was rude to Eagleton who is the host. It was unprofessional how he expressed himself.

I listen to the podcast and not the show (I'm always a day behind on episodes), but Broaddus has always come off like a Dak hater to me. The best he could usually muster was a back-handed compliment until a few games ago, when he seemed to soften on him a bit. All that to say, I'm not surprised by his behavior.

The closest thing I can get as to reasoning on his Dak hate is that he and the other scouts were so wrong about Dak pre-draft, and even during training camp.

I only listen to the audio and didn't pick that up. The show has been good recently, maybe he was having a bad day. Nick and BB are a little to high on Romo right now. They need to reel it in about 25%.

Sounds like half the aruguments on this here board with a bunch of know it all's. Especially when it comes to Dez and his contract or Romo and his contract. Bunch of whiny babies just like BB

He let his emotions get the better of him today. In much the same way that Mickey Spagnola does.

I found it pretty hypocritical of him when he said "you can get mad if you want to", or whatever his exact words were, when in fact, it was he, himself who was losing his cool about the subject.

Hey I know someone else who feels that way.

You know, listening instead of watching may not be a bad idea. I called it the podcast but I was referring to the video version.

While on the subject, I feel like Mickey has been antagonizing Rob and callers on Talkin' Cowboys recently.

Most shows aim to have differing opinions presented but you've got to be professional about it, even if those you're arguing with don't have the same level of expertise. He's probably tired of the mass media disrespecting Romo's abilities and trying to run him out of town.
