Broaddus was so defensive about the idea of Dak taking over and condescending as if disagreeing with him makes us neanderthals.

Still a great show though I listen to it on my commute so I didn't have to listen to Philly sports for a month.

I just watched the podcast of today's show. Broadus was unreasonably argumentative with Derek Eagleton about Dak's performance. He even told Derek "you can get mad if you want to." All Derek was saying was that Dak has been impressive. Broadus kept interrupting him saying "look at the total body of work" (which Derek was IMO). Broadus kept saying that Dak has made mistakes in every game and Derek said that's true of 99% of all QBs. Broadus was being horribly unprofessional to the point where Nick and Taylor weren't their usual playful selves like they were trying to stay out of it. Derek kept drumming his fingers on the desk, but overall he handled it well. As the show went on, Broadus sat there with a sour look on his face, interjecting insightful comments now and then (I'll give him that). When the show ended, he hopped up immediately and walked out. He normally lingers for a little bit, at least longer than that.

In my opinion, Broadus is a short-tempered know-it-all, but today took the cake for me. I have no problem with heated conversation. It makes the show interesting. But I think it's time for Broadus to move on (or be let go) from The Break and stick to the draft shows or fantasy football type stuff. He is such a grump.

I have no idea what he said or even read your post, but the subject is enough for me to agree. He reminds me of a friend of mine. Acts like he knows something and even says some reasonable things at times, but the end result is. You know he is just repeating someone elses stuff when he says something reasonable. When he is using his own thoughts. It's straight facepalm.

It makes you wonder how a guy like this got an NFL job. Then you look at where the country is coming this November and you say. Well, an idiot getting an NFL job is actually quite minor considering the complete and total cluster....

Ugh, yeah. I'm done here.

I was downloading the audio of Cowboys Break as I'm reading this post. Now, I'll have to actually watch the video. Thanks for the heads up.

Yeah he annoys me...
So who would you want instead of him? Some reporter who has nothing but opinions? Atleast he's been a scout and around teams for over 25 years. His experience and knowledge is different from your regular writer. I don't get, even if you don't agree with him, why you'd be annoyed by him.

I get the impression that Derek is probably a Dak fan and Broaddus is probably a Romo fan with a strong sense of devotion. Just guessing, though. We're seeing plenty of that sort of thing around here. No doubt, it likely exists among others on the inside as well. Nevertheless, Broaddus is old enough to know better than to allow it to affect his sense of propriety, especially when it's being recorded for all to see.

He's rude and testy and it's totally unnecessary. Why do the job if you hate it so much?

Are we really gossiping on a football forum? I don't care about this guy and neither should any of you. Close the laptop and go spend time with your family or something.

Wanting someone fired for having an opinion in a show based on opinions is plain silly. He has a stance and feels strongly about. Things are going to get heated and people may come across rude from time to time.

There would be A LOT of people fired or not invited back as guests (from the hundreds of programs just like the Break in all fields) if getting too passionate about expressing their opinion was considered out of line.

I had absolutely no problem with BB today.

i usually watch this while I am working in the morning. I was listening today while working and guess I just wasnt as focused because I didn't even catch this! Its sounds about right though, he has a hard time accepting others opinions.

I don't think anyone needs to be fired or anything though. He is just a grumpy dude or too stubborn at times I guess. I imagine if there was any kind of real issue the two of them would have talked about it and he would have apologized.

I enjoy the shows on the website. I would hate for anyone to get fired.
