now going 12-4 for three years in a row is pretty rare. My point is that somehow that would make a playoff win or better inevitable is frankly without support that matters. Considering the boys record and the bungles record there is NO REASON to think any playoff wins would come no matter what the season record.
2007 we went 12-4
2014 we went 12-4
2016 we went 13-3. Grand total of ONE playoff win in those seasons.
By the way when was the last time the boys put together two really good seasons in a row?
Bottom line is that your attempt to defend Garrett is without substance
Ok, you probably didn't see the original post. I never made in assertion they would go 12-4 for 3 years. The point of the original post is that the poster would rather go 4-12 next year than 12-4 for the next 3 years. All I'm doing is rebutting that since, based on history, any team that goes 12-4 for 3 straight years will play in a conference championship and, with only 2 exceptions, win a Super Bowl. You're trying to move the cheese on what the point of the post was.
We're not talking about putting 2 really good consecutive seasons together. Nor are we talking about 3 separate, really good seasons 5-7 years apart. We're talking about THREE consecutive 12-4 seasons which, as you readily admit, is rarified air. Again, try to grasp this, I'm not saying they will do that, I'm saying IF they do, based on history, they will play in an NFCC and, with a high probability, a Super Bowl.
Finally, if you'll go back and read my posts, you'll see that I have said this is not an endorsement for Garrett or any of the coaches. It is simply a statement of fact that for a team to go 12-4 for THREE CONSECUTIVE seasons means they most likely will play in 1 or more championship games and probably a Super Bowl. You're the one making about Garrett.
