For some reason I'm optimistic about Showers, interested to see how he does in the preseason games. I think Dak is gonna need more time.

If there are no veteran backup QBs coming in and we have to rack & stack the back up QB positions, then, IMO, it's:
QB2 - Showers
QB3 - Prescott

This is another reason these preseason games will be interesting to me.

Right now, I think it's advantage Showers but the preseason is likely to bear importance as to who's the #2 will be when the games really count.

Lots can happen between now and the regular season. If both fail to impress during the preseason, an outside QB could be welcomed aboard.

Neither one would do any worse than the veteran trash we had last year. There's a saying, "I can do bad by myself". I would rather go to war with what we have instead of some hasbeen, retread, neverwas veteran. At least with the young'ns they will gain experience and we can truly evaluate them.
