Actually, I'm not. I shared this article genius, I didn't write it. But I guess in your rush to attack me personally, you missed that.

Figures.

Do better.

Just where did I say you wrote the article? You were the one that agreed with that article and then based your agreement on a single game over 18 months ago of a total of a 10 game NFL career. Now if you didn't you would have just said in your 1st reply to me that you only posted that article but you didn't you went on trying to justify it with that one single game and blah blah blah.
.[/QUOTE]

Go take your misery somewhere else and go argue with another poster.

It's obvious that's your internet in going back to this otherwise retired post. You're simply looking for an argument with somebody and I'm not interested. Pick your fight elsewhere.

I've said what I had to say about this subject.

That's not the case though. Especially recently. Nolan Carroll and Cedric Thorton come to mind.

What I was talking about is that there are literally thousands of college football players, only the top ones get to the NFL, someone who makes a final roster and especially if he plays several years in the NFL has to be pretty good, otherwise the teams would pick up some other college player and replace them. Carroll and Thornton both played for seven years, NO team has some scrub on their team, they may not be Pro Bowlers but compared to many others, they are pretty good....

"It won’t take long for Randy Gregory to win Cowboys starting right DE spot"

From the Cowboys website: Defensive end Randy Gregory has also been placed on Active/NFI as he works his way back toward practice coming off an 18-month suspension.

So much for "he's been working out with so-and-so, he's in shape, blah blah blah"

Can't even participate in camp.

Bob was posting pics of RG at 220. He's added ~25 lbs of muscle. He'll get to 255-260.

That’s how I generally felt until the stories of him falling in with Hardy and doing coke came out. Bipolar, maybe. Addicted, sure. But whatever the reasons, he let the team down after they took a risk on him. So far, at least. Reinstatement doesn’t give him a mulligan. He’s got to earn one.

If you fail a drug test for pot at the combine then you are one stupid guy.

This article still won't stop the naysayers and the usual suspects though. I am sure they will be coming out of the woodwork soon.
Instead of accepting the possibility Gregory can compete at a high level by the end of TC, and stay clean, they will give the usual stuff.

Gregory can get in the mythical football shape over an off season, just as well as any other player can.
That football shape may only apply if a player returns mid season.
Of course they will and right they would be to do so. What had Randy done in the NFL that says that he will be any better than Dorace Armstrong at this point?
I am glad he was reinstated because we could use more competition on this line and it is better for him personally, but some in this board are acting like we got a top DE back with his reinstatement, which is absolutely crazy thinking

At the combine he was weighed at 235 lbs.

There was a story on the NFL network yesterday (or Tuesday, I forget which), about the Cowboys. They said Gregory was at 250.

Not to say we know that's absolutely true just because the NFL network said so, but if he's truly been working out the last 18 months he could certainly have added 15 lbs of muscle. Of course that sometimes slows a player down, but we'll somewhat be able to tell how he's doing very shortly, assuming he gets to participate in camp drills fairly soon...

BTB...... homers to the end.

It’s gonna take Gregory a long time to win a starting DE spot.
they have to right something outrageous to get some clicks and make money....if they presented everything exactly as it was, nobody would go to their site. this was a click bait article

I hope that a lot of you are right about Gregory, but if we're being totally honest with ourselves, he hasn't shown that he can even be servicable.

At this point, he's no different than any other touted college player that ended up flopping in the big league.
