Not relevant to our discussion but that makes Romo costing 1 loss and the defense about 5 blown games.

Yea..but now the defense is playing better...maybe they and the offense can get on the same page and play great on all cylinders despite the horrible coaching.

Most fans want the future QB now, or the potential. And even though, I believe we still root for them to win on Sunday, because that's what we do. But I don't care about divisional titles, etc, I care about Super Bowls. If we're not winning those, or at the minimum, competing for those, then I'd rather find a Super Athlete who's going to help with that. You don't find those in the later part of the round unless you get lucky. I'd rather increase my odds.

Matt looked great when he came in the game.

If the offense and defense can get on the same page...we can win this dumpster fire of a division.

No. And get killed in the 1st round of the playoffs? Yay! Buckle up for a...HIGH DRAFT PICK. ALL THAT MATTERS.

Do the math... with that attitude why even play the game? No matter how small our chances are, I'm running with it.

Because at some point you need to actually wake up and realize what's best for this team next year and for the future. Stumbling into the playoffs and getting destroyed does absolutely nothing to improve our team but rather gets us a lesser talent.

Which is so sad in a way. I want the high draft pick because we know this season is going nowhere without Romo, but I'll be right there rooting for Dallas to win despite how illogical it is in our situation.

If Philly and the Giants lose Sunday...Monday night's game is going to be a game we can all just pour beer down our throats either in jubilation or humiliation depending on the outcome.

Either way...buckle up and enjoy the ride.

Love the optimistic outlook but it might be time to start thinking about next year.

atta boy Joseph! And its even worse than the picture you painted. There isnt gonna be any "stumbling into the playoffs". At the very best they go 5-11 and it just hurts draft position. This is why I am all for starting Kellen Moore. Lets make sure he isn't good enough to play in the league....we can find that out and stay at 3 wins. It is a win/win scenario.

I want Derrick Henry regardless of our record...if that means trading players and future draft picks..so be it..We need this balanced and blueprinted beast.

This assumes we start actually winning games, which has been a huge challenge this year without a healthy Romo. Or did I miss hearing about a players only meeting which was going to ignite change?

Sorry, but as others point out, this team and coaching is in shambles without Romo and a healthy supporting cast

I am setting my expectations low for this one, I haven't seen one thing to make me do otherwise. The Skins are going to come in fired up and fighting for a PO spot and we have a QB who was winless. You do the math.

I set my expectations to "off"

Pretty sure securing your franchise QB for the next 15 years may be just a bit more conducive to winning long term then a few meaningless victories in a lost season... But HEY, THATS JUST ME
.

That QB doesn't exist in this draft, unless it's a lucky hit lower in the draft. The better our first round pick, the less likely we use it on a QB. We may take a second tier QB, but unless there's a junior who declares early that we want, we won't draft a QB in round one.

Wow we must love being disappointed.

In hindsight, the team could have given Romo essentially two more weeks off, healed up more and still be in position to make a run.

I'd feel a lot better if Romo had made it out of Thanksgiving.

Romo should have sat the Carolina game. At least in the second half. That game was over.

In my experience, it is less about where you draft and more about what you do with your draft picks. Some teams have been drafting in the top 10 for a decade, and they never get any better. Conversely, some teams draft in the bottom ten every year because they're always good.

Does it really matter? Dallas has no shot at the big prize regardless of what happens sunday.

I can't wait to consider the prospect of sitting atop the NFC East with a 4-8 record on the 7th of December (my birthday, FYI...the Cowboys better win!!)*

*Sorry, that would put us in 2nd place, I guess? I'm not even keeping track of it anymore.
