Yeah, it pretty much true is to anyone who isn't a sun-shine pump-er.
You call it a sun-shine pumper, I call it glass half full. Whatever.

Because at some point you need to actually wake up and realize what's best for this team next year and for the future. Stumbling into the playoffs and getting destroyed does absolutely nothing to improve our team but rather gets us a lesser talent.
A high draft pick is not changing the direction of this organization unless it drastically changes its philosophy.
We got a once in a generation DE in Hardy and even he can't overcome the incompetence on the defense. It was pretty similar to Suh in Miami, when Philbin was coaching...
Rah, rah, team. Let's Go Bayside! Kill Valley!
In my experience, it is less about where you draft and more about what you do with your draft picks. Some teams have been drafting in the top 10 for a decade, and they never get any better. Conversely, some teams draft in the bottom ten every year because they're always good.
In hindsight, the team could have given Romo essentially two more weeks off, healed up more and still be in position to make a run.
I'd feel a lot better if Romo had made it out of Thanksgiving.
Hasn't changed in 19 years and is not going to change anytime soon.
Ok .... I have to say it ... Who is this top tier franchise worthy can't miss college qb that I keep hearing about?? Seriously if one person here can say without a shadow of doubt that we are guaranteed a non bust top 5 player in the next NFL draft then tank away Cowboys ... That player doesn't exist all .. So it doesn't make sense to tank a season no matter how bleak to get a chance at a possible great player.... Just like those who justify it by saying if we win the division so what we have no chance to win it all...
Either way you look at it .. There is a chance ... Chance we draft a bust as much as chance we draft a good player
Chance we win the division with a chance to make it to the dance
No matter how slim.. There is a chance
It is illogical to tell professional athletes hey guys lose the rest and we might get better in the off season with better draft picks... Just like so many other great teams who had great draft pics did (cue Browns fans, lions fans, Commander fans , Jacksonville fans Etc )
Or team play your arses off for your jobs and the fact you are paid big bucks and bring some pride back
Frankly don't get it
Season was tanked several weeks back and this teams needs more than just a franchise QB. Just my $0.02
You never know if you make it to the tournament healthy.
Other teams might have significant injuries in the next few weeks.
You just never know.
I don't disagree ... What I am saying is allot keep saying that losing out guarantees us a can't miss franchise qb for years to come ?? Who is this player ?? What guarantees do we have drafting a guaranteed blue chip player at any position ?? The draft has more top 10 busts than blue chippers over the years
