If he can keep his pad level down and continue to develop, he very well could be the best interior rusher in the draft. I just think he's too stiff and upright to ever do that though. I think NFL guards are going to get under him and ragdoll him.

I agree on him playing high from time to time. That makes me nervous but it's not a issue that can't be corrected. I just like how he wins his match ups. Usually stud college big men use more power than technique. Then they play NFL linemen who have both and struggle because they never developed good technique.

Buckner can play anywhere on our line except for RE. He'd be a massive upgrade next to Crawford rushing inside on pass downs, and equally dominant playing the run at LE on early downs. I don't buy Bosa's game as an interior rusher translating to the next level, so for these reasons give me Buckner without blinking twice.

Not to mention he's physically the superior prospect, freakish size/length/athleticism.

Just because he played DE in college doesn't mean he can do it for us. Buckner is 295 lbs and like most men will put on more weight. He is a DT in our scheme and with his agility scores he's likely a 1 here.

Buckner makes more sense in a 3-4 but he is not Fletcher Cox or JJ Watt. He reminds me of that LSU DT we traded down from in 2013 to pick Fred.

That's interesting you say he can't play the 3 because his combine numbers are similar to Tyrone Crawford, except Buckner is 3 inches taller and 20 pounds heavier.

Micheal Brockers was in the 2012 draft, and the FO came out and said he was the target at 14 had we not traded up.

Brockers is also nothing like Buckner outside of length measurements. He was a 325 lb space eater.

Hm.

His 3 cone, shuttle, and 10 yard split are bad. I get his jumps are good. He doesn't have the quickness to rush the edge nonetheless. He certainly has power.

I said they reminded me of Brockers because of how they played. They both use those long arms to jab OL in the neck and shoulder. They punch really hard. Buckner is quicker sure but its the same style.

Buckner the dummy vs. Bosa the pothead.

Great.

One is naturally dumb, and the other artificially? And with Bosa (and Elliot) Ecstasy is the true risk, from what I've read.
Potheads aren't typically into raves.
