Sorry if this was discussed. Couldn't see it anywhere.
Where was the Buehler facemask on the long kickoff return. As far as I can tell, didn't the returner pull Buehler's facemask?

I'm not sure they showed a replay or not. But then, I was so in shock I wouldn't have noticed anyway.:(

When I saw it I didn't think it was a facemask at all. Maybe if they still had the 5 yard variety, but it definitely didn't warrant 15.

With that reffing crew, all Buehler had to do was touch his face mask and it would have been called.

"Hey Cowboys just scored. Let's make it as easy as possible for the Titans to come right back and score. Let's call a celebration penalty that wasn't one. Then let's add on another bogus one for fifteen yards."

Silly me. That's exactly what happened.

It has to be the first time I've ever seen a facemask called on a frigging KICKER!!!

Also, the titans tackles were slapping Ware's facemask ALL DAY and NO CALL. Yet Bowen grazes a Guy's mask and it's a personal foul.

Don't want to blame the refs on our pathetic team but why does it seem that we always get screwed by the refs??? - No respect for our head coach?

BBgun we need you!

seriously though i asked yesterday and no one answered, but nobodyon the field made a big deal about it.

ill also wager buehler couldnt out run a DB or RB on this team now, he looked fast for a kicker but other wise slow

There was no facemask on Buehler. It was on the kick returner. If you had the chance to watch it over do it. It clearly shows the kick returner grabbing Buehlers facemask and Buehler pushing him out of bounds.

The culprit is Jeff Triplett. He wanted to make sure we don't win so he can collect his paycheck.

My back was to that play so my view was obviously horrible. I wondered if they showed a replay on the TV feed with a better angle because they didn't on the videoboard.

No, they showed the replay and meat head's hand was wrapped and inside the returners facemask he didn't pull but had ahold of it.

Yeah. That's how I saw it. Does anyone know what or why they stopped the game - ran time on the clock with about 2:40 to fo when we ran up to the lie to go quickly.

Sorry - Cowboys have advantage on the Vikings - let's have a bogus call to stop the game and let the Vikings rest and sub.

I also saw that the runner grabbed Buehlers facemask also. If anything else, it should be offsetting penalties. Not a 1st and goal at the 1.

Yes I think the refs absolutely helped Titans win. So what if I sound whiny. Just want the refs to call a clean game or don't call anything at all during the last minutes of a game.

He had his hand on the facemask as they fell to the ground....but only after the returner had offered his hand to Beuhler in like fashion.

BS call IMO. One of several calls that shouldn't have been made. Like the unsportsmanlike on Colombo.

Has the holding on Gurode (IIRC) been discussed? You know, the one where he fell backwards and his guy fell right on top of him? That one got my blood boiling too. I'd like to see a replay of that one.

Officiating was awful, both ways. Jenkins', as hard as it seems to imagine, could have had an even worse game, could have been called for several more flags.

No excuses, but at some point you have to start wondering when previously undisciplined teams play yours week after week, and are found guilty for less than half of the penalties that your team is, and half of their average. Anomalies don't happen like that.

...but at some point, if you're on the Cowboys, you just have to go out and win a game soundly enough that these things dont even figure in.

There was no replay on the nationally televised game. I hate CBS. It is by far the worst football shown anywhere.

Having said this, I did TIVO the game and rewatched that play several times. I saw no face mask on that play. There is a second where the play is not visable but unless it happened in that split second, there was no face mask.

5 yard Facemask penalty doesn't exist

I appluad him for using the mask. if you are the kicker and you are the only thing in between the returner and the end zone, pull him down by the mask if you need to.

I know what you mean Yeags. Considering the fact that we were already kicking with a 15 yard penalty, we should have just kicked it out of bounds and let them take it at the 35. Would have been the smart play but then again, I've rarely seen us do the smart thing this season.

From what I have been told the ball would have been on the 45 but that's just a Jenkins/Scandrick PI or CJ run away from a TD.

As I recall the camera angle showed the back of the return man, so the face mask wasn't visible, and viewers couldn't see where Buehler's hand was. Just because we were blocked off from seeing it doesn't mean it didn't happen.
