Was Jay Ratliff the smallest Dt1 in the NFL?

I looked at about 10 NT types past and present.

The average appears to be about 6-3.

Haynesworth 6-6
Ngata 6-4
Poe 6-3
Jay Ratliff 6-4
Several at 6-2ish

Maybe 6-4 Nick Golden Cock Hayden should have found a way to get shorter...

Haynesworth was not a NT. When he was switched to NT, he quit.

Height/weight ratio.

We were weak up the middle when Rats was our NT, as he was being played out of position. Yeah, he made a few plays, but he was also pushed aside for those two long runs by BALT.

Ngata played 3-4 DE for BALT. Don't know that he's played NT. Is that what he's playing now? I think he did for DET. Still, Ngata is 345, which is a good height/weight ratio for the middle.

Can't ignore one stat. Gotta look at the whole pic.
