That doesn't matter. All of our players are supposed to be able to switch positions at any time and become all pros.....same with all draft picks.

Just because he hasn't played on 1st and 2nd down doesn't mean he hasn't played against the run. And by the way, he has played on 1st and 2nd downs (e.g., when we use the nickel/dime defense on 1st and 2nd down).

Im still waiting for a single example of him doing poorly against the run. And as for playing on the nickel, the technique the linemen are using does not help keep olinemen off the linebackers, bradie james certainly struggled doing that last year. but again i dont recall him being an issue in the nickel either.

i think you guys are just saying hes only 240 and not 250 so your assuming he cannot do it with no emperical evidence to substantiate that claim.

Sorry, I don't have the time to go back and name specific plays in specific games. As you can tell from the other commentary in this thread, this isn't exactly a controversial statement.

I can see that argument as well. I just think Burnett needs to be a 3 down backer sooner than later.

He will be...somewhere else after his contract runs out.

I could care less what the bandwagon opinion is theo and you should realize that by now. I can name two games this preseason in particular that he performed well off the top of my head but you cannot come up with so much as as single game or anything. I can even remember a game his rookie year towards the end of the season where he beat his man on the goal line for a stuff.

Im not saying its a sure thing that he will succeed but without any evidence of failure i dont understand why its the concensus that hell fail.

Who cares about preseason? He's played in ever regular season game this year and in almost every single one he has looked soft against the run.
