Burress Suspended *Merged*

I don't follow. He missed meetings this Monday. Should they wait another month before making a decision? Surely this doesn't warrant more than a 1 game suspension. The reason they probably made it a two week suspension is because this is their bye week. I doubt he deserves to miss 2 games. I am actually surprised he is getting suspended for a game at all and not just fined. That must have been a terrible excuse he gave of course he has always come across as a knucklehead. There may be more to it than just missing a meeting

A few years back, I met a guy at a party who turned out to be a police officer down in the Virginia Beach area, where Burress comes from... the conversation somehow turned to Plaxico, and he told us all that lad was WELL known by the law enforcement community down there... apparently even after he turned pro, he had some problems when he and his crew took to hassling tourists, panhandling "aggressively", as he put it...

Trust me when I say this officer was not a big fan... he referred to him as "Plax the Punk"...

It would seem the lad still hasn't grown up...

Suspending a key player for one game with the way this division looks to be playing out, is proper punishment imo. Especially for missing meetings during a bye week.

Laugh it up I think JJ will have a big game against them If I was Seattle I would stack the box shut the run game down completely put Trufant on Toomer and force Eli to beat them.

Nice player. Probably wouldn't be enough to win if the Giants has suspended Plax for a real opponent. Seattle sucks.

I think Burress is lazy. Could be a bigger star if he puts more into it.

I like Hixon, i also liked Mix but the Giants cut him. I'am glad Hixon is being worked into the offense, someone who will show up every week unlike Burress. Hixon's new job was to run back punts but now he's the man at WR.
