WoodysGirl said:Not quite the point I was making. I'm sure he rolled several times when he saw such a proud franchise under the guidance of Campo.
Needless to say I'm not impressed by Butch Davis. His college coaching career might have been successful. His professional career is not quite as stellar.
I think I'm being fair in recognizing the fact that the team he left was in worse shape than when he took over and is still scraping the bottom of the barrel in the standings because of the amount of rebuilding that was required from the years under him.Stautner said:I agree that he would not be a top choice for us, but like I said, we have to at least be fair and recognize that he took over a bad team with bad management in Cleveland. It took Landry several years to build a winner.

Stautner said:In fairness to Butch, he didn't inherit a very good team. Not only that, but the team hadn't been very good in a very long time, which suggests more than just coaching flaws, but weaknesses in personnel and management.
calico said:Just say No to Davis and Stoops. We will probably stuck with the disaster that is Zimmer, why make it worse?

Word in the NFL is Butch Davis would love to coach the Dallas Cowboys if Bill Parcells retires.
