or perhaps some other favorite ingredient

for me:

butter: on fresh baked bread
bacon: wrapped around scallops
mushroom: stir fry multiple types of mushrooms (oyster, shiitake, chanterelles, may be some enoki) in garlic and olive oil

Bacon, let me count the ways. Approximately 379
Shrooms, bisque, pasta, chicken breasts with butter and white wine and beef bourguignon but best of all, stuffed with crab meat....could be the best thing I ever ate.

The other ingredients that I am always looking for new ways to incorporate and improve a dish: capers, olives, peppers and pepperoncini.
