That has been, by far, Tony Romo's best month as a Pro. Let's take a look at his Novembers.

2006

11/5/06...Lost @ Washington Commanders, 19-22
24 of 36, 284 yards, 2 TDs

11/12/06...Won @ Arizona Cardinals, 27-10
20 of 29, 308 yards, 2 TDs (Tony's 1st 300 yard passing game.)

11/19/06...Won vs. Indianapolis Colts, 21-14
19 of 23, 226 yards, 0 TDs, 1 INT (Call me crazy, but a bad game and we still won. It was huge. Indy was undefeated at the time.)

Thu. 11/23/06...Won vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 38-10
22 of 29, 306 yards, 5 TDs (Tied the Cowboys record)

2007

11/4/07...Won @ Philadelphia Eagles, 38-17 SNF
20 of 25, 324 yards, 3 TDs, 1 INT

11/11/07...Won @ New York Giants, 31-20
20 of 28, 247 yards, 4 TDs, 1 INT

11/18/07...Won vs. Washington Commanders, 28-23
22 of 32, 293 yards, 4 TDs, 1 INT (All 4 TDs to Owens.)

Thu. 11/22/07...Won vs. New York Jets, 34-3
21 of 28, 195 yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT

Thu. 11/29/07...Won vs. Green Bay Packers, 37-27
19 of 20, 309 yards, 4 TDs, 1 INT

2008

11/16/08...Won @ Washington Commanders, 14-10 SNF
19 of 27, 198, 1 TD, 2 INTs (1st game back from injury.)

11/23/08...Won vs. San Francisco 49ers, 35-22
23 of 39, 341 yards, 3 TDs

Thu. 11/27/08...
Won vs. Seattle Seahawks, 34-9

22 of 34, 331 yards, 3 TDs, 1 INT

That is an overall 11-1 record. Here are his total passing stats.

251 of 350
71.7% completions
3362 yards
33 TDs (Only 1 game where he failed to throw a TD pass.)
9 INTs (Only 1 game with multiple INTs.)
122.58 QB rating

Okay, now I know this is going to get posted so I will go ahead and say it. It means nothing until he can win in December. I hope that makes someone feel better. I am sure that someone will not even read that far into the post. They will see a positive thought about Tony Romo and go ballistic.

In 2009 the Cowboys have 5 games in November. 3 at home and 2 on the road.

11/1/09...vs. Seattle Seahawks
11/8/09...@ Philadelphia Eagles, SNF
11/15/09...@ Green Bay Packers
11/22/09...vs. Washington Commanders
Thu. 11/26/09...vs. Oakland Raiders

If Romo holds true to form this team could go 4-1 or even 5-0 in that stretch. How would you feel about 8-3 or even 9-2? It's too soon to guarantee that of course, and I am not doing that.

Just a little primer for the coming stretch of games. Remember, it doesn't matter (even though it clearly does matter) until he can do it in December and beyond.

Im one of Tony's staunchest supporters, Im just questioning the relevance of his performace or the teams performance in November when historically they figure out a way to suck in December.

I really wouldn't call that a "bad game" looking at the numbers, it wasn't fantastic by any means. Completing 82% of your passes with like an 89 passer rating, is pretty good. It was a solid performance IMO.

You totally jinxed this November, Hostile. I hope you're proud of yourself.

slowish start to the season makes me believe we are going to finish strong.

knock on wood.

Those two away games look to be by far the toughest part of November schedule this year...I guess I'd settle for a 3-2 November based on that, but assuming we lost at both Philly and GB, those would be enormous factors for us even if we have an undefeated December for once...the only team we would really have a tiebreaker potential on that comes to mind is Atlanta, and we would be dead even with Philly...I think we must win one of those away November games...

So you are saying that we should give Tony off for the month of November and start him up again in December?

:laugh2:

The 3 home games against weaker opponents are must wins. You can't give away home games to teams you should beat.

I'll take a split on the 2 road games. The Philly game is more important, but a 4-1 month with a loss in Phiily is acceptable.

But 2 losses on the road would still raise questions about whether this could can win on the road against good teams. We beat a good team at home, now they have 2 chances to beat a good team on the road. They have to win at least one of those games. A 5-0 November record definitely puts the team in the contender category going into December.

What are you talking about. Anyone that goes 19 for 23 for over 200 yds and wins the game had a great game.

Rethinking it... and you're right. It was a great game. I misspoke, when trying to make the point that it wasn't a "bad game", I was trying not to make it seem like I was going too far in the other direction. Still some will see the 0 TDs and 1 int as bad, despite the fact that other numbers were fantastic.

I mentioned December TWICE in the original post. I even mentioned that someone would fail to read that part.

So I will repeat. Did I call it or what?

The "funniest" part is that it was the first response...
