Head coach Wade Phillips used the words brisk and outstanding to describe the Cowboys last practice before their three-day weekend.

He complimented the players on their concentration and leadership. He said none of the players practiced like they had their eyes on the clock, ready to head out of town.

"I talked to them about it,'' Phillips said. "Not about what we needed to do, but what we had to do. Their focus was really good.

"We had one of our better practices, I thought, all year. It was more like a practice going into a playoff game than it was going into a bye week.''

That's good _ as long as the formula is not reversed if the Cowboys do make the playoffs.

Yikes, don't think that these have been successful practices throughout Wade's career if history is any guide, but godspeed.

I'm always skeptical when I hear things like this...but with the way they won and Tony saying they had to win last week. And now this kind of practice and with Felix, RW, and MBIII returning and the defense starting to find it's way....

I dunno I just have a good feeling about this team right now. A real good feeling. Unfortunately I have to wait 9 days to see if I'm right.

Personally, I liked what I just read from Wade. I hope the Cowboys start turning the corner just so all of the "realists" or whatever you guys call yourselves will just pipe the **** down.

Dont know why anybody should be mad or upset with wade after that statement. Hell people be happy, Our team had a great practice and that is improvement.
