Wade: "We had out best practice of the year"

CZ.com: "Shut up Wade."

Wade: "We had a so so practice."

CZ.com: "We hate you Wade. You're such an uninspiring pathetic excuse for a coach."

Wade: "We had a terrible practice."

CZ.com: "Geez Wade. Why don't you hold someone accountable and kick someone's ***?"
:lmao2:

Of course, in Wade's world, a bye week is equivalent to a playoff win.:p:

Wade would have the team in tip-top form going into a Sunday in which we play no one. ;)

Head coach Wade Phillips used the words brisk and outstanding to describe the Cowboys last practice before their three-day weekend.

He complimented the players on their concentration and leadership. He said none of the players practiced like they had their eyes on the clock, ready to head out of town.

"I talked to them about it,'' Phillips said. "Not about what we needed to do, but what we had to do. Their focus was really good.

"We had one of our better practices, I thought, all year. It was more like a practice going into a playoff game than it was going into a bye week.''
That's good _ as long as the formula is not reversed if the Cowboys do make the playoffs.

Then we're 100% sure to lose against Atlanta.

so we're jumping down his throat because when asked how practice went bearing in mind it was heading in to a bye week and players may not be focused his response was that the effort and focus of the players was more like they were going into a play-off game than a bye week?

I don't feel anything wrong with what was said, as I feel a coach has any right to say anything about his team, short of negative, free of criticism.

However, with our record at 3-2 and an OT shocker to beat the Chiefs, I think we could be practicing every day like it was the superbowl bye.

Thats the only way we'll make it.

practice isn't going to make these guys better. you don't practice penalties or practice somehow catching the ball better after years in the nfl. if you're dumb, you're dumb. if you can't catch or crack under pressure, that won't change either. still not having plays down or committing tons of penalties falls under being dumb. practice only keeps you in game shape so you don't cramp or get injured easily.

Spot On.

Anybody think Hamlin is going to start tackling better???

Anybody think Mary B is going to start lining up by himself???

Anybody think Bobby is going to start getting his uniform dirty???

Me neither.

so.....they have one of their best practices before a bye week?

Great...

Ok. I dont hate this.

Everyone knows that I never liked the hire. I dont like what he has done thus far. BUT.... I dont hate this.

The pseudo prep for a playoff game is not a bad thing. The bad thing is the mental makeup of the team.

Flawless.

I'm happy to hear that during the bye the team was focused and putting in good work they will need to heading into these up coming games. Instead Wade gets gets ripped, go figure.

The one thing Dallas hasn't done yet is put together a complete game. Fans are getting impatient with the near constant lackadasicle preparedness and mediocre play from this team since December of 2007.

When are they going to sink the 8-Ball (against a good team and not to the Tampa's and Kansas City's?

This is just something that we need to see before we get confidence back in this football team.

A new contender emerges.

Wade: "We practiced."

CZ.com: "Practice isn't going to help this team Wade. Just give them the week off and have them show up on Sunday. You're so dumb."

is it possible he knows every game NOW counts so every game NOW is a plyoff game.

It is called focus.

It does not have anything to do with being dumb. I don't think we had any dumb penalties just ones from lack of focus, pressing and overaggreesion.

Dumb penalties would be late hits, lazy blocking that results in holding and that kind of thing.

If your focus is good in practice that should translate well into all areas of the game.

not focusing on the sport you get payed millions to play is called dumb.
