His rookie season wasn’t his most productive season and he had weapons that season including Dez who had a pretty solid season. Plus Zeke and our OL had a great year. Our OL isn’t near what it was in 2016.

His rookie season, he got both TDs and yards outside of garbage time. He threw the ball nearly 600 times in 2019, 30 TDs to 11 INTs for a QB rating below 100. In 2016 with only 450+ passes, he had 23 TDs to only 4 INTs with a rating over 100. Passing yards are meaningless due to the context of when he got them, even his QB rating is misleading - his had a huge rise in both the Bills and Bears game due to final minute padding.

His rookie season was more productive and more efficient than 2019. He also had a rating of over 100 in every game he didn't have Dez in 2016.

If you look at most of the top QBs in the league including Mahomes they all have a top receiver. They all have solid weapons. The addition of Cooper and the development of Michael Gallup has helped make Dak a very productive QB. Anyone who thinks he’s trash and some of these backups in the league would be better options doesn’t have a clue about football. The QB we have isn’t the problem!
The difference is the top QBs would still be top QBs WITHOUT a top receiver

Wentz just took his team to the playoffs with practice squad receivers starting games

Lamar Jackson has no top receiver

Russell Wilson doesnt have a top receiver

Ryan Tannehill just got to the AFCG without a top receiver

I can go on and on

WRONG: You pug big money in a QB because he doesnt need a real #1 WR. He can elevate a #2 to be a #1.

That’s laughable! If you think receivers like Michael Thomas and Tyreek Hill were elevated from #2 receivers to #1 receiver’s due to their QB’s you’re lost.

He didn’t have many yards and touchdowns his rookie year because he was leaning on a great, consistent running game and we were playing with leads. Plus our defense played better in 2016 than it did this season. The yards you call garbage yards he needed to try and bring us back in games this season. He carried us in some games including the game we lost to Minnesota where he played great. Our running game was inconsistent all season and Zeke wasn’t much of a factor in the passing game like he had been in previous seasons. Games were put on the Dak’s shoulders this season and despite it he didn’t have a ton of turnovers. He didn’t have a lot of help this past season with our receivers leading the league in drops. Our defense was crap in 2019. Very little pressure on the QB and hardly any takeaways. I’m not wasting anymore time with Dak haters. He’s not the problem!

Amari Cooper all day every day. It’s an offensive game . Elite receivers hold more value, imo.

No, he had less yards because he threw the ball less. He had more yards this year because he was throwing more. Same as Big Ben led the league in 2018 in passing yards because he threw the ball 600+ times, that didn't make him the most productive QB in the league, now did it?

And now you're just adding to the fact that a #1 WR isn't needed. So he had a productive running game and a great line, along with more efficient play....so what the hell do we need to pay Cooper for? What lost us the NFC championship game? Of course, we started out slow, but Dez ended up with a huge game and our D couldn't stop Rodgers when it mattered most.

All those teams you mentioned had better teams and coaching than we did. Their receivers didn’t lead the league in drops like our receivers. No one could figure out Jackson and the Ravens running game during the regular season plus they had a great defense. However they got killed in the playoffs because a lid was put on Jackson. They depended on him too much and it caught up with them in the playoffs. Ryan Tannehill hardly had to do anything in the playoffs but hand the ball off to Henry. lol Russell Wilson may not have one of the top receivers in the game but he has a solid core of receivers. As for Carson Wentz he was awful in a lot of games this season. Philly was able to make do with a makeshift receiving corp because they have solid coaching. If anyone in the NFC East would have been worth a darn Philly wouldn’t have sniffed the playoffs.

He may be but we can’t equate the two and the difference they make

We went 8-8 and our offense couldn't do a damn thing against good teams and good defenses. So what exactly is Cooper doing for us? He had two big games in 2017 and you folks can't shut the hell up about it.

He was the same way in Oakland. The pattern is there, he's not a rookie and he's not going to change. Imagine continuing to deplete the defense because our players aren't on the level of LT and Sanders.

Now you are moving goalposts

You told me that all the top QBs had top receivers. I showed you at least 3 top QBs that didnt have one, yet still made the playoffs.

If the coaching was the reason they succeeded, well then thats a whole other story

He had a better team around him? Dude, he had Cooper, Gallup, a top 5 offensive line, and Zeke ran for 1,300+ yards and had 10+ rushing TDs. What the hell are you even talking about? And if Dak had to "carry", WHY DO YOU WANT TO KEEP COOPER?

Who the hell did he have to carry? Even the defense was better this year than it was in 2016!

Our OL is overrated. Zeke had yards and TDs this past season but we weren’t running the ball consistently from game to game. We were having to pass the ball far too much from week to week. We got away from the running game most weeks and relied on Dak. As for our defense it was mediocre this past season especially on third down. We had some of the fewest takeaways of any team in the league and we weren’t getting many sacks. The offensive stats we had this past season don’t tell the entire story. Too much was put on our QB this season due to an inconsistent running game and defense.

No, I said “most” of the top QBs in the league have top receivers. You’re the one moving the goalposts. If you want to keep wasting time on this feel free.
