His rookie season wasn’t his most productive season and he had weapons that season including Dez who had a pretty solid season. Plus Zeke and our OL had a great year. Our OL isn’t near what it was in 2016.
His rookie season, he got both TDs and yards outside of garbage time. He threw the ball nearly 600 times in 2019, 30 TDs to 11 INTs for a QB rating below 100. In 2016 with only 450+ passes, he had 23 TDs to only 4 INTs with a rating over 100. Passing yards are meaningless due to the context of when he got them, even his QB rating is misleading - his had a huge rise in both the Bills and Bears game due to final minute padding.
His rookie season was more productive and more efficient than 2019. He also had a rating of over 100 in every game he didn't have Dez in 2016.
