My only complaint on Byron Jones is he never gets interceptions..its so weird
His hands are made of stone. It's obvious why he chose defense over offense.

Wish it wasnt the case, but I've accepted it. Hopefulky he keeps tipping to teammates

One of the first cases I've seen where the DB prefers not to be in perfect position so that he only needs to bat the ball down instead of go for the INT.

Bullies WR and is able to match them stride for stride, he’s also extremely reliable tackling for a CB. Couldn’t catch a cold in winter though, and because of that will miss pro bowls IMO.

He don’t get interceptions but I don’t know if it’s good or bad.

I would like cb to get ints but at the same time, if a cb led the league in ints, that mean the cb is doing something wrong in coverage for the qbs to test him. A great cb in this league rarely gets tested.

Is there anyone who seriously prefers Byron to Ramsey or Peterson?

He covers close, and deflects balls pretty well, but doesn't really compete for them well. Just had that ball bounce off his chest to Heath.

He reminds me a little of Terrance Newman. He doesn't give separation, but you can throw it in there anyway without a lot of worry about him coming down with it. Eventually, teams figured that out about Terrance.

We'll see. I'll put his as a good but not great corner right now.

The few times I've watched peterson typically in close games he's the one getting abused for the go ahead game winning fg or td. I've never seen a "star" player get beat more in crunch time for what would be the biggest play of their (the receiver) career up to that point.

Everyone knows this league favors offense. WR's are going to put up numbers, especially great ones.

In terms of age and production I'd only put Ramsey ahead of Byron.

I want to agree with that, but I don't think you can say that. He doesn't get interceptions, but he is in position, and knocks down a ton of balls. I don't know the stats, but I would like to see where he ranks on balls batted down. Having your hand in position to bat down a ball is a ball skill too.

Not in my opinion. Elite coverage skills will, of course, put you in position to get your hands on the ball. Actually catching the ball is necessary to establish ball skills in my view.

Had my reservations about dude, but man is he impressive.

Dude is a straight gnat out there

IT really is shocking how good a cover guy he has become. But you saw point blank why he isn't one of the best corners. He has stone hands. That pick that bounced neatly into Heaths hands bounced right off his chest. The guy simply cant make a pick to save his life.
